Hallmark Hotel Stourport Manor

My husband and I stayed on the Sunday night over the bank holiday and had a good deal on DBB in a superior room. The room was a nice size as was the bathroom and clean. The room facilities were good although I did think that putting a shower cap in the bathroom wouldn’t have gone amiss. For the evening meal I had tuna which was very good, cooked as I requested and a decent size except perhaps a little salty, my husband had the 5 hour cooked beef was also really good except that the root vegetables that went with it consisted of just two small slices. For dessert we both had the chocolate fondant which I did mention to the waitress had no fondant and the ice cream was a very unappetizing yellow ‘cornish’ type ice cream, she said she would mention it to the chef but didn’t get back to me with any comments. The room was on the ground floor and quiet so we had a good night sleep. Breakfast was good but with the usual busy Sunday morning /bank holiday morning rush which caused a few of the choices to run out.

Had a three day break at this hotel. Really very pleasant location in a country setting just outside the town. Very nice room . Large comfy beds, with tea and coffee provided. Restaurant was very pleasant with good food and good service from the staff. In fact everyone was great and made our stay very enjoyable, as did the spa facilities.

When we pulled up we were skeptic but once inside it was all very good.

Stayed two nights on DB&B special. Had superior room.

Sampled the swimming pool and sauna/steam room which were great.

Dinner was lovely, great choice, great presentation, lovely atmosphere not too stuffy.

I would consider staying here again.

We stayed at the hotel on a Dinner, Bed & Breakfast deal.. Excellent value for money.

The room we booked was a superiore double, not sure what a standard would've been like if what we had was superiore! The room was nice enough, the bed was very comfortable.

The room was very warm, almost sauna like, unfortunately we could not open the window, for 2 reasons.. The latch was broken (being on the ground floor we would've liked I have the window open a little without the risk of it being opened fully from the outside) and the crowd of smokers from a wedding that gathered under the tree directly outside the window to smoke without getting wet!

We phoned reception to complain, and to give them their credit the manager did pop out and ask them to move. It clearly happens a lot, looking at the amount of 'smoking debris' on the ground!

We asked for a late checkout, but sadly this was not possible as they already had 2, and a tour was arriving. The housekeeping staff were clearly in a hurry to get into our room as they were knocking on the door before 10am (on a Sunday, when check out is at 11am!!)

The bathroom floor had a few chips, as did the bath, there was some old mould in the corner of the tiles and i also spotted in the bathroom, which wasn't nice was a few 'dark, wiry hairs' behind the bathroom door... It could've done with a clean!!! Perhaps closing he door and doing a quick check might be in order!

The dinner was amazing... Food quality was exceptional and the cost of the meal was almost the price of the DB&B deal! the service was also excellent!

We were with a coach party of 38 persons for a short stay of four days. On arrival we had a warm welcome by staff together with a cup of tea and cream scone. Our suitcases were delivered to our room which we found spacious with all facilities. In the bathroom we found the shower could not be adjusted for height and the spray head was an old type that could not be lifted free from the wall. No shower caps supplied.Tile grouting had seen better days and the inner side of the bathroom door was knocked about. The bedroom window was not double glazed and the paint both inside and outside the window needed attention as did the window catch which was broken . . . not a good idea on the ground floor. Breakfast was excellent and we had a very good choice of food. Tea and coffee served from insulated jugs into beakers . . . for a 4-star hotel one would expect cups and saucers and a pot of tea or coffee on the table (most likely this was done for speed and cost!) Evening dinner had also a varied choice of starters, main course and desserts. We did not make use of the leisure facilities so cannot comment. All in all a very pleasant stay made all the better by the helpful and friendly staff.

Just completed a very reasonably priced 2 day stay. The hotel is very well presented and is well positioned with extensive grounds. The bedrooms were of a good size very clean and furnished to a high standard. We had breakfast and dinner in the hotel and were very satisfied with the choice and quality. All the staff without exception were competent, courteous, very helpful and nothing was too much trouble, the overall standard achieved was so high it warrented nothing less than 10/10.
The leisure facilities were an added bonus and once again all aspects were of a very high standard. There are many places to visit in the immediate area ranging from safari parks to museums to cathedrals.
Would highly recommend this hotel

A really enjoyable weekend with my daughter, son-in-law and 4 month old grandaughter. The hotel was comfortable and the food excellent. The staff ( especially Vicky- hope I spelt that correctly) were all very welcoming and helpful.
The leisure facilities were good and the gym was one of the best equipped that I have seen in a UK hotel.
Only one slight problem was that on both mornings they did not have any poached haddock but there was plenty of other choice so that on each morning breakfast was a very leisurely hour and a half
