This is by far and away the nicest and most value for money stay I have ever had. Tonnes of room for 2 couples and a 4m old to chillout and visit the surrounding area. Decor is all done to a high standard and Karen couldn't be any more of a perfect host. We have already made recommendations, and we will be back. Thank you Karen and well done on a truly fantastic home away from home.
Beautifully presented clean, comfortable and extremely well equipped. There was even a supply of toys. Good location with plenty of attractions nearby. We will definitely be back.
The Nest is absolutely outstanding! The attention to detail was superb with everything you need ready for when you arrive. Karen was extremely welcoming and provided a lovely welcome pack with fresh eggs, homemade bread, jam, chutney, apple pie and fudge which was a delightful suprise! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing retreat. Can't wait to organise our next stay!
From the first moment of sheer delight as we opened our very own personal door to The Nest, we were both in absolute awe with each step we took. Karen has thought of everything you could ever need, whether you are on a weekend break or lucky enough to spend longer in this oasis of peace and calm. The courtyard is very private with only the sound of birdsong, bees and the rustle of trees to break the silence...heaven!!! The Nest in its entirety is simply stunning with comforts galore.
The welcome pack that awaits you is amazing and I defy anyone not to eat the freshly baked loaf within the first hour.
We had a wonderful break which was far too short. We were very sad to leave, but we are already looking to book again.
My advice.... BOOK NOW!!! Thanks again to Karen and Dave who welcomed us with open arms. This break will long live in our memories.
Words cannot describe the wonderful cottage that Karen has created! Comfort in every room with her own decor designs evident. Even the private cottage garden is impeccable.
The cottage has been beautifully decorated in a retro style which is both tasteful and comfortable. The kitchen is thoughtfully equipped to make it a real home from home. A welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, bread, butter and eggs was utterly delightful; we arrived late at night and were able to have a much needed cuppa and a leisurely breakfast in the morning. There is a lovely view into a large garden at the back of the cottage and a pretty, private courtyard garden to the front, in which we enjoyed breakfast, dinner and the odd glass of wine. There is lots to see and do locally in this beautiful part of the country. Karen is an exceptionally thoughtful host and has created an oasis for her guests, for which she should be extremely proud.
Tucked away in a very quiet location in pretty countryside amidst winding high hedged country lanes, but with quick access to the excellent local road network. A good base for exploring the river Servern's historic towns, e.g. Stourport, Bewdley, & Worcester with its splendid cathedral & other old buildings. Lots of interesting houses, gardens, & churches within easy reach.
The cottage is at the side of the owner's house, enclosed in a spacious, plant-filled attractive private courtyard garden. Well designed & beautifully decorated to a high spec, with every comfort & convenience, The Nest is a delightful place to spend a week. The warm & friendly Karen & three generations of her lovely family are on hand if needed, & we very much enjoyed chatting with them, but equally The Nest is so private that you could choose to spend your whole stay without seeing anyone.
Comfortable bed, good shower, large, very well equipped kitchen, & delicious home-made welcome hamper, my favourite touches were the personalised welcome sign, & the charming arrangement of wild flowers in milk bottles. We were lucky to have warm, sunny weather, & the Dawn chorus through the wide open bedroom windows was the best I've heard.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this bright, comfy, characterful old cottage. It's the perfect break from busy urban lives & we came home rested & refreshed.
Thank you, Karen!
