“Nice stay”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

Stone Manor is a pretty sizeable complex (long corridors leading to the rooms) which appears to focus on weddings and conferences - judging by the number of function rooms we saw. Several of the public rooms had fireplaces which made the Manor very cosy. The grounds are large and looked well kept. Plenty of car park spaces. We saw a reference in the literature to a swimming pool but did not come across this during our stay.

Bedrooms were a decent size with comfy beds, nice seating and lots of storage space. The bedroom doors are very heavy (looked like fire doors) so closure is on the noisy side but that said our sleep was not disturbed.

The bar / drawing room is very large and the evening we were there a pianist was playing. Lots of big comfy sofas so easy to relax.

Dinner in the beamed restaurant was good - though none of dishes were particularly outstanding. The wine list was very visual with maps of the regions which was a nice touch.

Breakfast was buffet style - plenty of choice and dishes were constantly refilled. Staff were pleasant, in particular one French waiter with whom we chatted at length at dinner and also over breakfast.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms facing over the gardens - rooms facing the front do pick up the road traffic

Thank you for taking the time to post such an informative review following your recent stay with us. At Stone Manor we have a great loyal team of staff who always do everything they can to make every guest welcome & hopefully we did. With regard to the Swimming Pool, we have an outdoor pool open from Late Spring, but the advertised Indoor pool is just 2 miles away at DW Sport, and reception have the details and passes for all guests.

As you say the hotel is larger than many first think, due to the nature of the Original Tudor Manor house, growing in size over the years, hence the layout is very different to say many new purpose built hotels. We do have 6 meeting rooms, and yes Weddings & Conference's, as well as Weekend, Families and leisure guests are all catered for here in our warm friendly Family owned hotel.

Well Thank you again and we look forward to welcoming you again soon

This lovely hotel is perfectly located just a few minutes drive from Kidderminster, with local pubs/restaurants close at hand. The room was a good size, nicely decorated and had lovely views over the gardens. The bathroom was adequate and perfectly clean, but looking quite tired and dated. There were lots of fluffy white towels which was appreciated. Our only real complaint was the difficulty we had trying to find our room - bedrooms are in different areas and we just missed the sign off to our right showing our room number range and we ended up traipsing all over the place and finally retracked back to reception and started again. The hotel has a restaurant but regrettably the prices were quite high - nice for a special occasion but not for a regular week night meal. What we really liked was the super special offer price of £39 for the night - making our stay excellent value!

Room Tip: The hotel is located well back from the road, and seems really peaceful. We would suggest you insis...

Thank you for your recent review and that you found our January Sale Rates a bargain.

As well as our A La Carte menu we also offer a TDH Menu which is from £23 for two courses, and also Bar Menu if you should want something lighter. We are currently looking at an additional "Gastro" Style Pub alternative as we have collated some feedback, especially fron Business people who have a budget to work too when travelling on business.

Thank you again and we look forward to seeing you again very soon

My partner and I booked a night at this hotel on Jan 30th 2013 for my birthday. They had advertised a special deal, dinner bed and breakfast for 2 people only £77!!! The hotel is beautiful, very oldy worldy with roaring log fires, chesterfield sofas, wooden beams! Our room number 7 was of a nice size and standard, the bathroom was large but dated and we was only left half a toilet roll, no Back up! Everywhere was clean and for midweek is was so peaceful......bliss. Drinks were expensive, £10.35 for a wine spritzer and pint of beer. Pool table by one of the fires if required. Extensive grounds overlooking rolling fields. What can I say about dinner.....magnificent! Choice of 3 starters, mains and deserts, I would say there would of been a more extensive choice of food had we not of booked the special offer but I'm not sure, my partner had the lamb and I had pork and chicken......absolutely beautiful, not a scrap left on our plates! Breakfast was lovely too, included in price so we had choice of cereals, continental and full English, lots of juices, fresh fruit and yoghurts. Had a lovely birthday at Stone Manor and would definitely return! They also have a swimming pool but didn't get to see it

Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review following your stay with us for your birthday. We are so glad you had a lovely time and enjoyed the food. Stone Manor hotel is very unique in its style, Decor which makes us very different from the large Chain hotels.
Our Head Chef and his team work very hard to produce delicious meals, using locally sourced, Fresh produce.... In fact Pavol one of the brigade is through to a Final of a competition, so you can imagine we are very proud of this.

Well Thank you again and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

Husband and I attended a Christmas party night on the Saturday before Christmas and have to say we plan to do it again next year. We were in a party of 7 couples (some travelling a great distance). Had drinks in the one bar about 4-5 pm and have to admit the service was pretty slow (but that is our only criticism of the whole weekend). Rooms are great (quite traditional and some may argue a little dated), but they're quality, spacious and spotless. Met up with our friends in the bar then went through to one of the suites for the party night. Food was much better than what you would reasonably expect for such a night (looked like the night was fully booked). Can't remember what I pre-ordered but everyone's order came out correct, hot and best of all was quite delicious. Drinks prices were OK. Disco was good fun. By the end of the night we were all on the dance floor and just wished it could have gone on longer. Went to the resident's bar afterwards. Better service this time!

Breakfast was full English, and I must say it was very, very good! I absolutely love my full English's and this was a particularly good one! Staff ensured that all 14 of us were sat together and we were very well looked after. It was over this breakfast that we all agreed we should do it again the following year.

Room Tip: Our room was on the ground floor and quite close to the residents bar. It was great, but all 7 coup...
