“Good beer and pub grub”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2013

Clean and friendly place with plenty of car parking. A small bar, slightly bigger lounge and a restaurant area. Often frequented by an older clientele.

They always have a good selection of specials, particularly fish dishes.

On this occasion we had chicken stuffed with pâté and mushrooms in a red wine source. It was tasty and very good value for money. Washed down with a pint of real ale from the bar.

Worth a visit, they also cook a steak properly

“The Perfect Steak and Fantastic Service !”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 1, 2013

Visited on Sunday 30th June. I had a juicy rump steak which was perfectly cooked and my husband had the pork and apple tenderloin which was tasty and flavorsome. The meal was good value for money, with plenty to offer on the menu. We also had 2 lovely desserts the sticky toffee pavlova and cherry and chocolate ice cream. The pub was busy but we were served quickly and the staff were attentive and friendly. Would recommend this pub a very positive experience .

Nice pub, busy and lots of locals. Food was good with generous portions. Staff were very attentive. Worth booking at the weekend, we didn't and had a30 min wait for a table.
