I stayed here for one night on a business trip and chose it because it was so close to where I needed to be early the following morning. It's on an A road yet out in the countryside and so was very easy to find. There was plenty of parking in the car park. Check in was easy and my room was in a separate building from the main part of the hotel. The room was very clean and well furnished. The room looked out onto the country road which meant it was very quiet and had nice views. Minor negative points about the room were: smallish TV, tea and coffee was not very well stocked, one tea bag and only decaff coffee, bathroom was very clean with a big mirror, but the shower was the only real down point, heat only controllable from the bathtaps and impossible to get an ideal temperature or any real power whatsoever.
Because the hotel is out in the middle of nowhere I booked a table for dinner in the hotel restaurant. Minor negatives were a lack of atmosphere, and the restaurant was cold. However the restaurant has recently been redecorated and this has been done to a very high standard and is very attractively done. When I said I was cold, a portable heater was brought for me straight away. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. I ordered from the set menu, and although I thought the choice was rather limited, the standard and presentation of the food was really excellent and very good value for money. At night the room was both perfectly quiet comfortably warm with the heater and the extra blanket that was in the wardrobe. I needed to check out very early in the morning and reception arranged for the breakfast room to be open for anything non-cooked, so I could have coffee, toast, cereal, yoghurt etc from the buffet table, which was perfectly satisfactory before 630am. All in all I would recommend this hotel and I would stay again.

Thank you very much for your kind review and its very helpful and constructive commentary. We are on the case with the showers and are trialling a megaflow system shortly to increase the flow. It is important that this is addressed. With kind regards.

Decided to try the Granary as although we live fairly locally we've never been there before. The restaurant has obviously recently been refurbished and to a very high standard which is fresh and comfortable. On arrival we were greeted politely and asked if we would like a drink at the bar or be shown to our table, which we chose the latter. My coat was removed and our drinks order was taken. There is an excellent choice on the menu ranging from tapas type meals to a set menu which you can mix and match and also some lighter meals. We couldn't fault the food at all. My nut roast was really good and my husband thoroughly enjoyed the lamb. The dessert was one of the best I have ever had, me being a dessert freak, both in taste and presentation. Only one tiny thing not quite right, we did ask for extra vegetables as there was only enough on the main meal for decoration, but these were bought quickly and were excellent. Will definitely be going again and will try the fish as there is a great choice.

Thank you very much for your kind review. Delighted that you liked the new look. It has only very recently been completed in the new year and we are due to launch officially very soon. The menus have been also redesigned to give more choice in a relaxed environment. Really glad you liked it.

Stayed here in November for one night. Decided to try something different as we normally do the Travelodge thing. Have to say that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Clean comfortable room for £42.00 with breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff, We dined in the restaurant on our arrival and had a carvery which was great and the breakfast was also delicious. Will definitely come back.

Recently got married here and it is absolute perfect wedding venue.

Room looks amazing when dressed, and gardens make perfect backdrop for wedding photos.

Accommodation was lovely, honeymoon suite was beautiful, with big four poster bed and separate dressing area. We booked most of the rooms for our guests and they were all more than happy with the standard rooms.

Food was amazing there, everyone enjoyed all courses and the service from the staff was unbeatable.

Cannot thank the staff enough for making our day perfect.

Will definitely be returning here for many year to come.
Will defiantly be returning

We have just returned from another meal at the Granary. Today was a lovely carvery lunch and this is very good value, especially with the 'pensioners' special price. Two weeks ago we celebrated my husband's Birthday with a pleasant evening meal and again, were made to feel welcome and the service is excellent.

We have not stayed overnight in the hotel yet, but it would seem to be good value with an evening meal, perhaps for a special occasion, if not wanting to drive, particularly during winter weather.

This was real experience. Very very good meal, brilliant atmosphere and excellent service. We did not expect much when for the first time we stayed at the granary hotel. In the evening we decided to have something to eat at the local restaurant. We could not expect such a treat. It was cooked to perfection. Honestly, the best meal we have ever had in our life.

Having walked out of a hotel (sic) in which my wife and I were to stay for a couple of days, we found The Granary. I am very surprised at the negative reviews recently published on this hotel. The receptionist was just brilliant and the accommodation superb (although there was a small problem with the bathroom door which I did bring to Management's attention). On the second night we invited friends to dine with us in the hotel Restaurant. The restaurant staff were extremely efficient and the dishes we all chose were well cooked and well presented. We will hopefully be returning to Kidderminster in a year's time and will certainly visit the hotel and restaurant again.
