“Great start to the new year!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 1, 2013

We visited the pub today, hoping for a bite to eat. Not really having thought through that today as New Year's Day, it would be busy. The place was heaving and as we'd not booked a table, it seemed unlikely that we would get to eat. We ordered drinks and spoke with the staff, who found us a table after only a short wait. The food was delicious, the waiting staff were friendly and helpful, despite being super busy. Thank you to all the staff who served us and gave us a great start to 2013!

“Great, imaginative range of food, plus portion size pricing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 4, 2012

Good food with imaginative presentation and range. Portion related pricing has got to be the way to for sensible diet control. Good service and reasonable pricing with fairly reasonable beer pricing.

“Same as always”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 31, 2012

This place is never going to be a high flyer in the restaurant world as it is a pub, the food is fine, the prices are very reasonable. No interaction from the bar staff but our waitress was very pleasent, lots of regulars eating and drinking which is nice to see. I had the gammon and my partner had a burger, both were cooked well.

“TERRIBLE”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 19, 2012

bar man was surly, wine glass had to be replaced because it was dirtyood arrived on starter plates so portions were extra small i had fish and chips i didnt want either of the pea options but was not offered another veg optionthe chips were rubbery and had obviously been kept warm for at least a couple of hours
my daughters both had full breakfasts that were ok
6-30 on a thursday evening not even that busy serving staff were good
no excuse for bad food and small plates price for fish and chips was far too expensive for the amount of food
wont ever be going back eventhough we drive past most days

“Excellent value for money!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 1, 2012

We visited today and had a lovely meal, we chose the option of a 2 course meal for under £5 and because there was 2 of us, we decided to order one starter and one pudding and share them, my husband had the plaice and chips with mushy peas and I had a chicken breast with bacon and cheese, chips and salad, really good value for money. The waitress was very pleasant and even split our starter into two (bless her) and then provided two spoons for the desert, we both had coffee which was bought to the table and the total of the bill was only just over £10. We have visited this pub in the past and always go there when we visit Kidderminster.
