I really like Severn Valley Railway because Kidderminster station and Highly station have railway museums near by. I travelled there 3 times to see many steam engines.
Many children, families, and adults would like to ride steam trains even if they aren't interested in steam trains, but I want more kindergarden children to ride steam trains there and learn the history of the railways for an excursion. I was impressed to visit engine house near Highly station. I could see the Severn River, too.
When I went there for the 1st time, Kidderminster station had lots of Christmas decorations (it's amazing)!! I didn't see Santa there though...
I joined in the steam gala in SVR and saw many engines from different heritage railways in Murch, but it was very very snowy and engines were delayed!!
Anyway, please DO enjoy your journey in Severn Valley Railway.
