Brockencote Hall Hotel
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed October 19, 2012

I booked a table of 8 for this event and three hotel rooms. The celebration was my wife's 50th birthday.

I had been organising this for several months in secret and the Hotel were excellent at keeping things quiet - the manager even rang me to see if the flowers they had bought for her should be left in the room or presented in front of the other 80 guests, how thoughtful.

On arrival, the feature suite room we stayed in was a real surprise. So stylish and with a fantastic view. Not possible to fault the room or quality of decor.

The quality of staff service was impeccable throughout, from table service to room service to the 5* turndown service.

The quality of food was superb (but then this was a competition to see which of the groups 7 chefs would win the annual Battle trophy) the breakfast was also superb.

The location is great, close enough to civilisation but out in the country in in its own large grounds.

All in all a pretty perfect experience. Considering the quality, the cost was more than acceptable

Room Tip: Room 1 was just perfect (but top of the range)

Have just come back from a great trip to Kidderminster, Brockencote Hall is a fabulous hotel. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is second to none and the staff are extremely helpful. The cleanliness of the hotel is amazing and attention to detail is impeccable. I have to say it is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. We are looking forward to our next visit.

We stayed here at the beginning of October for my husband’s birthday and we had the perfect night away. We were greeted at reception by friendly staff and promptly shown to our room which was beautifully decorated and overlooking the terrace and grounds. We even had a birthday gift and card waiting in the room which was a lovely surprise from the hotel. Later that night we enjoyed pre-dinner drinks and canapés by the fire, before having a delicious 3 course meal in the restaurant. We couldn’t fault anything, both the food and service was superb. We returned to our room to find that the house keeping team had turned down the room - it was lovely not to worry about finding light switches etc. after a drink and they had even moved the bottled water from the fridge to the bedside table. Breakfast the next morning was just as good as the evening meal, there was a huge variety on the continental buffet and the cooked breakfast was lovely. All in all we were very sad to be leaving after only one night but we will definitely return….hopefully for my birthday!!

When I visited for a large family lunch recently, the reception and waiting staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant. Unfortunately, the lack of responsiveness by the management to emails and telephone calls when attempting to finalise arrangements, and the dreadful vegetarian food has let them down.

This is the second time we have stayed at this lovely hotel. We do not live too far away and as my husband is disabled it is nice to get away from home for a few days without the hassle of a long drive. The staff are all exceptional and nothing is too much trouble. The disabled bedroom is superb. On a corner with three windows, a huge bed and perfect bathroom with everything a disabled person needs. Not all hotels give the disabled such a lovely room. There was fruit in the room on arrival. A bed turn down service and bottled water at night. The only disadvantage is the wheelchair lift down to the bedroom took some handling. In the end I always asked a member of staff to help which was never a problem.

Room Tip: As all rooms look onto the countryside and all are refurbished I would imagine all rooms are as bril...

We have just returned from a night at Brockencote Hall and I must say how absolutely fantastic the whole experience was. I have stayed at many 5 star hotels but all aspects of Brokencote were a delight. The rooms were delightful and the tranquility of the grounds left us with a feeling of peace and joy. The service and friendliness of staff were outstanding . The Maitre D was excellent and so attentive you were made to feel like Royalty.
We would reccomend to anyone and we will certainly be returning. Thanks PCA for a wonderful wedding gift !

Room Tip: Rooms and hotel very tranquil take tea on the terrace if the suns out!
