Do not book this place. I arrived for my 20th wedding anniversary. Husband too ill to travel to coast. Place had not been cleaned. Used towels. Dirty filthy bathroom. Used bed sheets containing human or dog fluids. Came home instantly. DISGUSTING!! Owner has refused to give me back my money. My husband went back into hospital due to the stress she has caused in MY opinion. He died yesterday.
The location is amazing, the views are lovely across the river and very close to shops, restaurants and pubs, however the inside of the cottage needs some TLC. Dog hair on the floor, i`m guessing from a previous gust, also dirty crockery and cutlery put back in the cupboards and quite a few cobwebs.
The kitchen light didn`t work, the shower door was broken and there was a problem with the boiler and shower (luckily my partner is a gas engineer so we could sort this ourselves, otherwise we could have been without a hot shower or heating) when we did get hot water to the shower the water leaked through the ceiling from a gap around the shower tray resulting a puddle on the kitchen floor.
No telephone contact either for owner, only an email. We did contact about the light not working and we did get a reply, but still had only lamp light to cook by for our 3 night stay
lovely place, very comfortable and tidy.
bewdley town right on your door step.
nice little place would deffo book again
Parking close by.
Great location by the river.
Close to a variety of pubs, restaurants and shops.
Looks a little tired inside.
The owner was responsive and helpful.
The location fitted our needs perfectly. Everything we needed right on the doorstep. That included great local shops, beautiful river Severn, lots of places to eat from cafes to restaurants and the Severn Valley Railway.
The cottage was quaint, homely and welcoming.
It did however need a few bits and bobs attended to. I contacted the owner direct and got a very nice prompt reply to say they would get sorted.
