“Disappointed!”
Reviewed January 20, 2013

Went here last night Caprese Shots were very disappointing. Prepared a day or so earlier because the pesto was dark brown. Fried calamari was average. Mains were VERY VERY hot including the plates, not enjoyable to eat. But when it did finally cool down the Linguine Gamberetti e'Vongole and Penne Espani were good. CANNOT recommend the Pizza Sorrento, it was TO salty - and I love SALT! Would have been nice to see a Caprese salad on the menu. Won't be returning.

“A wonderful find!”
Reviewed January 13, 2013

My friend and I always seem to frequent the same haunts so we decided to try somewhere new for a change and chose Pomodoro. We were not disappointed. Lovely rustic atmosphere whether upstairs or downstairs. We had a carbonara and a cannelloni both of which were delicious. We noted a criticism that there was a forty minute wait for food, we also waited this time as we didn't have a starter, however the food is freshly cooked to order and I'd prefer to wait and have that rather than microwaved food prepared quickly. Excellent food, great service and a wonderful atmosphere. It's a gem of a find and will undoubtedly become a favourite haunt!

“Thank Heavens - a decent Italian restaurant in the area”
Reviewed January 9, 2013

Eaten here 4 times - lovely restaurant - decent choice of good fairly authentic Italian food - beautiful decor, nice atmosphere and friendly service all at very fair prices. Suitable for almost all occasions and something to suit everyone from 3 to 93. At last an alternative to The Hop Pole for a good meal out in Bewdley (if you don't want an Indian). Parking a bit inconvenient but very well worth the stroll.

“First Class Dining”
Reviewed January 8, 2013

My partner and i went for New Year - it was full to the brim but the service was first top notch. We had three amazing courses - I can highly recommend the prawns! The setting is perfect, I felt like we were back in venice all over again. I can't wait to try the lunch time menu - a real hidden gem.

“Nice change for the town, ........ But”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

Went to eat here as a nice change from the only other real alternatives in the town of Indian or Chinese.
Lovely atmosphere & great surroundings in this old period building.
Welcoming staff who are not overbearing and allow you to take the whole evening as an event....although sometimes a little too long.
40 minutes between courses is a bit too long.
Whilst concentrating on just pasta and pizza dishes foe mains, the starters are too comprehensive for the one man band kitchen and obviously detract from the strengths of this menu.
We had calamari which tasted nothing like squid but everything like cooking oil.....not good
Similarly, prawns in a homemade sauce that was remarkably tasteless....... Not good
Main courses of pasta redeemed the evening somewhat, but word of advice for this new venture, cut the starter menu down as it overburdens the small kitchen to the possible detriment of its min strengths.
Would I go again, yes, but not in a hurry.
