Description: Nestled on the Worcestershire and Shropshire borders alongside the river Severn sits the picturesque town of Bewdley, known for its Georgian architecture and quaint black and white cottages, with stunning Riverside frontage. Alongside the seemingly tranquil River on the north side of Bewdley bridge, you will find us at The Mug House Inn, Bewdley's finest River view Inn and AA Rosette Restaurant. Where you can also take the opportunity to extend your visit by staying in our Riverside bed and breakfast accommodation. A warm and friendly welcome will always await you when you wander into this wonderful old Inn. The Mug House is the perfect platform after a good nights rest in the AA 4 star B&B accommodation for those exhilarating walks along the River to see, hear and take in the panoramic views and wildlife in and around Bewdley. Other attractions include the Severn Valley Railway, which continues to Kidderminster and Bridgnorth. Slightly further a field is the city of Worcester and the Malvern Hills in Worcestershire

Have been a fairly frequent Visitor to this Pub for some years and can honestly say that the quality of the beer and atmosphere is always fantastic.Warm, cosy fires in winter and superb outside space and riverside views weather permitting.
Chef/Host/Patron Drew is always friendly and amusing (well he makes me laugh anyway!) and is ably supported by great staff.
Food is well up to best standards and its always a pleasure.
Look forward to opening time! Hic.... ha ha.

Managed to get a table at last so had a lunch time snack. Great value. Recommend the soup and cob. Sandwiches with fresh crusty bread. And great side salad. The chips are addictive. All washed down with local. Must go back and try the set menu..

We attended Christmas Day with our son and his partner. We have never gone out on Christmas Day before and we were not disappointed. The staff made us feel very welcome. We started with an asparagus foam..delicious, then a starter of carpaccio and the largest prawns I've seen in the uk....then a sorbet, traditional turkey and all the trimmings, selection of desserts...of course we had the Crimbo pud...lovely. Then the doors were opened into the bar which was now closed to the public where we had coffee selection of local cheeses and petite fours....we eventually left at about 7 pm. The staff were amazing and the chef was fantastic. I recommend this for anyone who is a little dubious about going out for Christmas lunch

Thank gill

Had a meal here on New Year's Eve and the food was excellent - mussels, steak and sticky toffee pudding for £17.50 was brilliant value for really good quality, well cooked food. The service was efficient and friendly too. This was our first visit to the Angry Chef, but it certainly won't be our last.
