Safari was excellent. We went round 3 times!
Kids loved the rides and rollercoasters - something for all ages.

We have been several times over the years and have always enjoyed our visits. The safari is great and a good variety of animals with some obvious improvements being made. The Discovery Zone is good and the new Lemur and Meerkat area is great. We will return later in the year to see what difference the improvements have made.

I was so excited to go to the zoo even at 23 as I had been there when I was younger and loved it.
But when I got there I was disappointed. All the animals are confined behind fences and gates. From what I remember all the animals were allowed to roam around and be free, yes even the lions.
The enclosures and space they did have was very small especially for the elephants.
It has gone down alot since I went there and doesn't really entice me to go again.

i have been here twice-once as part of a national holidays coach tour (along with cadbury world) and the second time under our own steam (no pun intended as we also travelled on the nearby severn valley railway on this visit!!!). have enjoyed both visits but would recommend not going on an organised tour as your time is ruled by them. on our second visit we used the park's minibus (we don't have a car) and the driver got us much closer to the animals. i even fed a giraffe!! cool!!. we were more interested in the safari park than the amusement section but i would say don't expect alton towers!! however if combined with a visit to the safari park there is enough to keep you entertained all day with ample refreshment facilities and a good gift shop. as for some previous comments about not all animals being on show well i suppose you can expect that if it's a bad day but that should not put you off. allow yourself enough time to drive round the safari section twice if needs be-leaving a gap between drives, maybe grabbing something to eat or riding the rides in the park. getting close to the animals is worth the effort

We visited the safari park one cold grey day in January when not all of the attractions were open yet despite this had a great time and enjoyed our visit much more than we had expected. We took advantage of tesco clubcard vouchers and were pleased that we would still get a return visit later in the year - something to look forward to. There was lots to see and you could get very close to the animals, plus there was no problem stopping to get a good view as you drove round. Our daughter loved feeding the goats & deer through the car window. Much to our amazement we spent the whole day here, arriving about 11am and not leaving until 5pm when everything was closing.
