“Family adventure day”
Reviewed February 7, 2013 via mobile

Took our 4 year old daughter for a day trip, we all had a fantastic day out. On arrival it was a little slow gaining entry due too limited entry windows open, but once in it was fantastic. First stop the toilets, plenty of parking near to them, toilets clean and fresh smelling. We then had a steady drive around the animal enclosures taking about an hour and a half, the the animals were great, all seen and wandering around. The Rhinos gave us a fright when two started a full on fight locking horns and knocking one over but the staff with the big 4x4s soon split them up, all very exciting. After parking up we had a walk around the park, seal lion show very good, fed the penguins fish and also fed the hippos cabbages. Lots for all ages in the theme park but all rides at extra cost with tickets or a wrist band. Food on sale limited to burgers, chips snacks but at a reasonable price. Lots of areas for family packed lunches. Usual toy shops to buy toys, drinks etc. miniature train free and worth a trip on. Staff friendly and attentive, park clean, and you can drive around the enclosures as many times as you like. Entry free average but you do get a free return entry ticket, great family day out.

“Fantastic time!”
Reviewed February 1, 2013

I took my nephews to the Santa Safari right before Christmas last year. The staff in assisting with my booking were very helpful over the telephone and efficient with a friendly manner. We loved the experience, and have been several times before. The presents they could choose from after seeing Santa were great, and the price very reasonable given photos were also included. The animals putting their heads inside their car are all part of it, but as another reviewer mentioned, you do risk your wing mirror as a horn made contact with mine (no damage luckily). The boys were so excited and taking lots of photos, and we enjoyed the sea lion show too. The staff are all very helpful, a ranger spotted I had a flat tyre just as we were about the enter the park and took me to pump up the tyre to get us around and home which was brilliant as we hadn't known about the slow puncture and I was a bit paniced with being responsible for 3 children. Do take your own food and arrive as early as you can. A great day out!

“Lovely day out for family young and old!”
Reviewed February 1, 2013

Lovely day out for us all. Even though it was the middle of January and cold there were enough animals out to make it all worthwhile. The tigers and lions were great along with camels (which stuck their heads through the window to the kids delight!!) and buffalows.
Its quite a good price for a whole day out and seemed to have lots of childrens rides too (although these are not open in the winter) We took a picnic as the food did seem quite expensive on top of the entrance fee - but we did get hot drinks for us all - 5 hot chocolates £9 - which is about standard I think.

“Could have been better”
Reviewed January 30, 2013

We arrived at the safari park about 3.00 on a Sunday afternoon, epecting it to be quieter. I was very surprised how busy it was and it was a warm afternoon.People weren't following the advice by keeping windows shut through certain enclosures. Once we had finally got round the animals about 2-2½ hours later we went round the rest of the park, there were a few unruly kids.

The restuarant was nice, but a bit pricey, especially of you are a family with children.Once we'd walked round the park we went into the reptile house and people were banging on the glass to get a reaction from the reptiles, even though it clearly stated 'DO NOT TAP ON THE GLASS'. All in all could have been a better experience. Didn't use the free entry card we were given and probably wont be going back in a hurry,

I did write to complain about the reptile house not being manned and people knocking on the glass and I did get a reply back to say that they were going to address my issue,
