Description: ‘The Lounges’ are informal, neighbourhood food led cafe/bars open all-day everyday where families, friends, and locals can come for a coffee, a drink, or something to eat in a relaxed comfortable environment. The Lounge menu is available all-day and offers a wide range of dishes including an extensive brunch menu, a selection of proper-job burgers, a great selection of tapas, & more restaurant-in-...style monthly specials. There is an extensive selection of coffee/tea, cakes and pastries, smoothies and fresh juice, and a small selection of wines, draught beers & cocktails. The interiors are comfortable, inviting, and a bit eccentric. The photos, a great majority of which feature Dave’s (co-founder) grandparents, are weird and slightly unnerving?!We’ve got a variety of board games available for either children or adults, daily newspapers to read, a kids menu (& highchairs), & a free neighbourhood book swap (bring an old book & swap it with a book in the bookcase).Think of us as your home-from-home.

“Great early food!”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Sunday morning and it is nippy, these Easterlies wont go away, however a walk along the front and a stop to watch the model boats was a nice start to the day but we were cold.

A look around and this place seemed pretty busy for this time of day so we thought we would pop in for a warm and a cuppa. We were made welcome and ordered tea for two, while waiting we looked over the menu and the food sounded good so we ordered the Lounge Eggs, me with mushrooms and my wife with Salmon, this it turns out was a very good idea indeed, they were perfectly cooked, well presented and lovely! the tea was very nice as well.

There are good views out over the boating lake and the Mersey, a good atmosphere even that early on a Sunday, the staff were great and polite, the toilets spotless, disabled access appeared to be easy and thought out, there is outside seating with ashtrays provided if thats what you do..dogs appeared to be welcome (a personal niggle as I don't think dogs and food mix but there ya go)

So in conclusion, a smashing place to pop into, everybody (and their dog) is welcome, food excellent, prices fair. All in all somewhere you should have on you list if you are visiting the area.

“Super place”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Lovely quirky little spot overlooking the boating lake in New Brighton with a great view over to Liverpool too. Have eaten there twice now - the food is great, really fresh and appetising. The service is a little slow, however, with the homely atmosphere and the chilled vibe, you really dont mind, whilst sitting chilling and relaxing.

“Great addition to the New Brighton scene”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

We've been to Marino Lounge four or five times now and twice to eat. When we've been for a drink the service has always been friendly and the ambiance is usually good. The venue is quite different from anything else in New Brighton and although it wouldn't necessarily turn heads elsewhere I think the location next to the Marine Lake is striking and really adds to the experience. On the couple of times we've eaten at Marino I'm ashamed to say that my wife and I have twice eaten the same thing - the Hero burger, basically a chili burger. This was delicious and very unhealthy but does not qualify me to critique the cafe's full menu. Some of the food offering sounds quite ambitious but I can certainly say that the kids fish 'n' chips are also really good quality and tasty. We'll be coming back - very good value and a great range of soft drinks - a real plus for any driver / non-drinker who doesn't just want coke / sprite.

“Very nice place to eat.”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

Disabled access is easy and toilets are clean and tidy. The food was excellent as was the service. My wife had the lounge eggs which was basically eggs benedict with smoked salmon. I had a standard burger with chips and salad. The burger was great however the salad was a bit limp and was drenched in dressing.

Overall I would return again.

“Quick BankHoliday Lunch”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

Popped in on Bankholiday Monday for lunch.
Although the place was 90% full we didn't have to wait long for our food to arrive.
all meals were great although I can only assume teh chicken wings were good as they disappeared before i got chance to grap one....!
Reasonably priced and good value for money food and serving a proper pint too.....
Will be on my list to re-visit next time we take a stroll down the front.
