“Food not as good as it used to be.”
Reviewed March 23, 2013

Been going to The Seaside for many many years. As of late the food the standard of the food is detiorating, not sure if they have changed the cook. The roast dinners used to be awesome. Afew of us had a Roast there and I have to say I wouldn't have eat it all even if they had given us it for nothing. The roast potatoes where black in side and the veg hadn't seen boiling water because it was that hard. Always used to get a lovely ommelette in their but the one I had a few weeks ago was dreadful. Comeone Seaside get back to your usual standard, heard a few people moaning about the food when I was in there.

“Great service and value for food.”
Reviewed March 10, 2013

Good value for food from a set menu of 30 meals plus 5 or 6 on the specials board, also a menu for snacks and desserts. Staff are warm and friendly and will sort out any diatry needs.
I have been a regular customer there for years and i have not had problems with the staff or food, even the new trainees have been polite and friendly. You should try their famous milky coffee while you wait for your food, it is great. The Cafe is always busy with customers even on a rainy, dull day. They also do alot of charity events and raffles during the year. On one occasion my partner had arranged with them a table for my Birthday with balloons, confetti and a Birthday cake all laid out, ready for me when i arrived. That was a great Birthday for me.

“Sea Side Cafe”
Reviewed March 6, 2013

Further to the last comments. It was a very sad day for all as they had just heard of the death of a very good friend to all the staff & customers.
This is a very good friendly cafe. Open 363 days of the year. They serve over 30 different meals off their menu and will change items if you dont like things. On Sundays during the winter they also do a lovely roast sunday dinner. All meals are freshly cooked to order.
During the year they have special events to raise money for charities. Also having special meals for Christmas, Valentines Day even the odd Birthday.
Their milky coffee is known around the Wirral.
Congratulations to Helen and all the staff

“Service with a smile??? No!!!”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

A traditional seaside cafe, the seats being original Mersey Ferry bouyancy seats. The food is freshly cooked and a sensible price. The place is very popular, and when we were there the place was full with very few free seats.
My biggest negative comment refers to the staff. A smile wouldn't go amiss, and our meals could have been better served rather than almost thrown on the table.
And why when cleaning the bits of rubbish left behind on tables are they usually wiped off the tables and onto the seating.

“Long Established Venue, Excellent Value and Food, Try the Milky Coffee!.”
Reviewed December 29, 2012

This is a very well established Cafe, seemingly open every day of the year!. On the bleakest of days they have a good local customer following. Meal prices and Food are excellent, all fresh cooked and served by cheerie Staff. The all milk Coffee is well known around here and delicious!. In the very rare event of good weather... there is a large outside seating area and this is well patronised. No frills, just good food and value.
