My friends and I meet here regularly for a catch up and normally just have a cup of tea but decided to have lunch as well recently. The menu is fairly basic, paninis sandwiches, jacket potatoes etc. The sandwiches were a bit sparse on fillings and my jacket potato was barely warm and the skin was rock hard and inedible. What accompanied all the dishes was a delicious pot of sweet pickles and a lovely side salad wrapped in cucumber. If you can make the stuff on the side of the plate this good why can't the whole dish be just as good ? We stayed for a good hour after our meal and eventually had to move the dishes off the table onto the next table as noone came back for them. This is a nice place to meet and have a cup of tea but none of us would eat here again which is a shame because it is a lovely venue with great views.

Recently had sandwiches and drinks with friends before an afternoon matinee. The food was served reasonably quickly and was good quality. However, the bar staff on the smaller bar ( the larger one was closed ) were appallingly slow and inefficient. Having no wine glasses, the barman asked for some to be brought over. After a long wait, his colleague brought four, one of which had to be returned as it was not clean. I do understand that glass washers often don't make glasses sparkle, but this had food smeared all around the top half inch or more! It was fortunate that we did not all want wine as we would have had to wait while more glasses were brought over!
I was very lucky to have been the only one at the bar as a very long queue developed after I had been served. My friend went back for more drinks and queued for a long time only to be refused drinks, when he eventually got to the bar, as he "wasn't ordering food."
He then had to go and queue at the other bar, which by then had opened.
Nice place, but in need of better management.

Slow service and £2.40 for a small cappucino. It wouldn't make me go back! Massive long queue and the staff never smiled once! Nice cafe area but that's its only redeeming feature. Come on whoever owns the cafe - take a peek at Caffe Cream or Marino Lounge nearby and get some tips!!

We dropped in this café for a coffee on a recent day out. We sat on the upper floor to take in the view of the Mersey. We didn't try the food but from what we could see it looked good.

The price for the coffee is what you'd expect to pay in the usual coffee shops, a little more expensive than your local café but reasonable. Saying that the coffee was lovely and the service was excellent. Worth a visit.

The seating area was nice and spacious and there was a table with some paper and crayons for the kids which helps while waiting for the food. There was 5 of us eating but unfortunately it ended up being 2 eating while the others waited and then they ate once we had finished.
