Thank you Jane and James for your hospitality and your wonderful cottages at Hook. It is always so calm, so clean and so comfortable. We love your attention to detail, the decor, and the lovely surroundings. It was nice to have the cows come over and say hello. The only downside is that we could not stay longer and reading the visitor book which showed people comfortably staying for weeks and weeks made us very jealous. We will be back. Irene and Jim Australia

Room Tip: This is brilliant if you need to get to Royal Wootton Bassett or Swindon. Perfect.

My wife and I came here for our anniversary holiday and enjoyed every minute .
Great reception from James on arrival who gave us a tour of the cottage and its amenities.
We met Jane later and she was just the same, nice and friendly and made us feel at home.
The place was spotless and you didn't want for anything (home from home) great.
Just the place to unwind after visiting one or more places that Wiltshire has to offer , which was quite a lot.
We shall definatley back next year.

I came upon this delightful accommodation whilst looking for a winter retreat within reach of a family xmas. My worries over 'being warm enough in a barn' were completely unfounded. The standard of the conversion is top notch, the facilities are as new and equipped to a high standard. The family that run the working farm and the holiday lets work brilliantly as a team, and the welcome was gentle, generous and sincere. The farm is in a wonderfully quiet setting despite being unbelievably close to the M4 and therefore very easy to find, and ideally located as a touring base. Value for money? I should say so!

Room Tip: All similar with lovely open outlooks from the open plan lounge , 3 x 1 bed, 1 x 2 bed.

We were looking for a place to stay where our daughters could experience life on a working Farm, whilst enjoying a relaxing break in the country - we couldn't have picked a better place! The accommodation was very comfortable, scrupulously clean and spacious. The owners were extremely welcoming, nothing was too much trouble and they were very happy to answer our never ending questions about farm life! We were taken on a very informative and enjoyable tour of the farm and our daughters were lucky enough to see calves born and to see how milking is done. It really is a beautiful, efficiently run farm, which the owners are rightfully proud of. Peaceful, excellent views of the countryside and a good base to explore Wiltshire from. We loved it!

We have just returned to Australia after spending another delightful stay at Hook Farm. We always feel immediately at home with the owners, James and Jane, Richard and Claire are very welcoming with nothing being too much bother. The cottages are lovely, clean and comfortable with everything you need for both a long or short stay. It was so relaxing after touring the area for the day to return to Hook Farm, sit in the lounge or on the patio and take in the view of the countryside. There is an abundance of wildlife to be seen. During our stay we managed to spot pheasants, hares, deer, squirrels, foxes and numerous birds including a brightly coloured woodpecker. The location is ideal being almost central to the myriad of attractions in Wiltshire, Gloucestshire and Somerset. The quaint villages of the Cotswolds are a short drive away. As the cottages are self-catering there are many excellent supermarkets close by to obtain food. If you decide to eat out and don’t want to drive there is also a good local pub, The Bolingbroke Arms within walking distance. An added bonus, particularly for overseas visitors, is the free wi-fi, which enables you to keep in contact with family and friends.

The whole place was welcoming and we had a warm hello and handover. The place was spotless and very well equipped. The bathroom and kitchen were fabulous and the king size firm bed was out of this world. We have made subsequent enquiries to see if we can get one sent out to australia. Jane was lovely and we will definitely be back if she will have us. Jim and Irene from south Australia.
