My partner and I who are both carers for our parents were looking for a nice relaxing holiday. And we found exactly that at Cotswold Retreat we were greeted by the bubbly Sue who was very informative about places to visit and best places to eat in the local area.As we settled in and prepared our first meal there was a problem with the micro wave oven one call To Mark and the problem was sorted in minutes we were very impressed. THANKS MARK
We were also very pleased to with the Jacuzzi and felt very relaxed after using it.
We also loved a local restaurant called the AV8 and will certainly visit again.
On our last day we were visited by Mark to say good bye and ask if everything was
ok which it was we loved the cottage as well as the local area and we intend to visit again soon.
Me and my partner have just returned from a weekend at the cotswolds retreat and what a lovely relaxing weekend it was we arrived on friday and was shortly greeted by mark who was very welcoming and explained how everything worked and gave us lots of information and advice on local areas and activities.the cottage itself was clean and very comfortable there was entrance hall with well equipped kitchen and conservatory leading of one way and bedroom/lounge area of the other with a very comfortable king size bed sofa comfy arm chair and tv with sky and dvd player there was also a docking station for music with plenty of wardrobe space and drawers and then the beautiful en suite with double shower and the most relaxing double Jacuzzi bath which was perfect after strolling around the lovely surrounding area. We only wanted a relaxing break but while we were the we visited malmesbury, chippenham, lacock and the best village for us was castle combe so beautiful and well deserving of the uk prettiest village award!! I have to say theres a little cottage there that sells tasty cakes and the most delicious lemon curd mmmmmmmm!!! The only downside was having to return on sunday as there was so much more to do and see in the surrounding areas. Perfect place for a relaxing break.
Before we even arrived Mark had sent over lots of information about the property and what we needed to know before we came. This was very useful. We were warmly welcomed by Sue at the Cotswolds Retreat with a bottle of wine! We enjoyed the sky package that was on offer and the indoor hot tub! Very relaxing. Bath was only about 25 mins away from the bungalow which was ideal. Castle Combe was very close by (a picturesque village) and Stow-on-the-Wold was an hour away. The village the bungalow is situated in is very quiet and quaint. We will definitely recommend this to anyone visiting the Cotswolds.
Excellent clean bungalow, great friendly service, would highly recommend and we will returning, Mark was very helpful
Stayed for a couple of days rest and relaxation. The cottage is finished to a really high standard and has everything you could possibly need. Mark was very helpful and very friendly and gave advice on places to visit and eat out etc. Can't wait to come back again!
This property is in a small quiet village just off the main Fosse Way. The property is well looked after and well equipped. Mark is a great host who will always help with anything you may need to know. There is a small rear garden which is a great sun trap and good for sitting out with a drink and chilling out.
This property is great value for money and I will use again if in the area.
You are well located to get to most places of interest within 30 mins. drive. There is a pub in the village which you can walk to in 5 mins. which serves some good beers.
Perfect quiet getaway close to Chippenham and well located for visiting all the Cotswolds and Bath. Fabulous size accommodation and spotlessly clean. Thoroughly recommended.
