From delicious traditional British meals to a handful of dishes from different origins you are sure to find a dish to suit all tastes and appetite. Our delightfully lighter menu option in the bar area includes a sandwiches selection and boards during the day and home-made bar snacks with scrumptious scotch eggs and sausage rolls to have with a pint of Youngs or glass of wine. We serve food in our dining room and bar,we can accommodate whatever occasion you would like to share with us. Small social gatherings, business lunches or family feasts. But who needs an excuse to treat yourself, just drop by and simply enjoy a relaxing evening and let us make any day a special occasion. This was our second visit to The Lamb. As previously, the decor and atmosphere were perfect, old world country pub with a Scottish decorative flare. The food was OK, I had a blue vinny rocket salad followed by sausages with mash and the special of the day dessert, the iced banana parfait. The blue vinny was delectable as always but the accompanying salad lacked gusto and the vinny portion could have been more generous. The sausage and mash was lovely. The dessert needed a ice pick to make it to the spoon and although large, quickly became a little boring after a few mouth fulls.

There was a slight error on our bill with a bottle of wine we had selected but which we were told was out of stock being included. This was quickly rectified when we alerted staff. Drinks ordered mid main course took an age to come which meant we were left with beer and coke as accompaniments to dessert rather than the usual coffes we would have liked to order!

Overall, we enjoyed the meal as the atmosphere, decoration and location of the pub still go a long way to making it a lovely evening in this picturesque village. These factors considerably compensated for the few small gripes!

Ate here one wet & wild night. Difficult to negotiate if you have mobility problems. Steps down to restaurant & within restaurant. Nice decor. Food ok. My Mum has a small appetite-had soup as a main-lots of bread arrived for her & then the smallest bowl of soup. Sevice ok-waited a long time for dessert which was then lukewarm. Wouldn't recommend it to be honest but not terrible.

Whilst our visit was not quite up to the standard we had a few years ago, we had an enjoyable meal. It was apparant that some of the staff needed training in 'service' that said they were still very friendly. The food was 'good' with some room for improvment eg; portion size. Over all we will be meeting our friends for a meal here again.

We used to come here years ago, when it was a proper pub. We met friends for lunch and as we only wanted a snack chose the Scotch Rarebit. Two miniscule triangles of toast, extremely hard, with cheese and crispy bacon. If there was one rasher betweem is I would have been amazed, all for £4.50. Our friends had sausage and mash at £9.50 and that is literally all they got - 3 sausages and some mash and gravy. Not a vegetable in sight. Then, to cap it all, 10% service was added to the bill without so much as a by your leave. WHAT A RIP OFF.
