“What a treasure”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

Afternoon tea in a lovely secluded courtyard terrace with a fountain gently tinkling in the sunshine. What a great experience. The service was great, efficient friendly and unobtrusive, the atmosphere relaxed and unhurried and the food a real treat....they even have a sample book so you can smell the tea that you select.
I have driven past on the main road hundreds of times and never thought I would find such a peaceful location so close to the road.
Well done Beechfield team - I'm coming back for more and spreading the word!

This was a mid-week mini break and lived up to expectations. The cosy room was a very good size with bucket chairs and coffee table as well as good-sized twin beds. Everything was spotlessly clean, a beautiful bathroom and an inviting swimming pool outside. Very good food and delicious evening meals. The best cream tea ever, which was just freshly made and served on the terrace. Very friendly and helpful staff. We shall definitely come back again.

Room Tip: Ask for a ground floor room when booking if you cannot manage the stairs.

We booked Beechfield for 24 hour exclusive use for our daughter's wedding reception and overnight accommodation for the wedding guests. Every aspect of the day and night was perfect, including the glorious weather! Jean-Luc and his team did a superb job. The wedding breakfast was very well cooked and presented, and was served unobtrusively with the excellent wines. The beautiful grounds were ideal for the photographs, serving the canapes, and as a backdrop for the string quartet. The outdoor pool was just right before and after breakfast for a morning swim. The guest rooms were spacious and well-appointed. We would thoroughly recommend it.

It was such a glorious sunny day to perfectly show off Beechfield House and our gardens to their best for your daughter's wedding. I'm so glad to hear everyone had a truly wonderful day and hope we may see you back for an anniversary celebration in the future. Thank you so much for your kind comments.

I booked this hotel for just one night to stay with my two sisters and we were keen to stay in one room. There was some confusion about the global booking engine offering a triple room at this hotel when there wasn't one. The hotel called me in Australia to explain the issue and were incredibly gracious, accommodating and honoured the advertised rate and put us into Alder Room which we loved.

I really did appreciate their flexibility and was already feeling positive towards them before we arrived. And then when we turned up, the hotel itself really did live up to the pictures, the staff were really friendly and warm and the overall experience was first class.

I have told everybody about the hotel since. I have stayed in many hotels at twice the price that are not nearly as tastefully decorated nor as well serviced as the Beechfield House Hotel.

Stay here, eat at the restaurant and chill out - it is a breath of fresh air.

Room Tip: We stayed in Alder which is stunning, but may be a little warm for some people.

Excellent stay at Beechfield House in June 2014, lovely location, just a few miles from Lacock, comfortable room (standard), very welcoming staff. Nice pool and terrace area and grounds. Would stay again.

Room Tip: Choose standard room as cosy room lot smaller (especially for two people)

We stayed here for 2 nights bed breakfast and evening meal and cannot fault the staff, location or facilities. We stayed in Alder room which was lovely, all mod cons and WiFi working perfectly. Breakfast was comprehensive with no surcharges for smoked haddock etc. unlike other hotels I have stayed in recently. The heated swimming pool was excellent however the only downside is that there is no shade in the afternoon by the pool . The staff are friendly, helpful and make this hotel a pleasure to visit. My only hiccup to a perfect couple of days is that the wine we ordered was never in stock! This a great place to spend some time away from it all to relax in peaceful, stylish and luxurious surroundings. Will be back.

It was great to read your comments and know you had such a lovely stay. I'm sorry about our wine stocks on this occasion - we were drunk dry on a few lines by another group staying with us and have a ball!!!
