Stayed for a weekend special prior to attending a wedding later in the year. We and our dog were made so welcome. Our room was in the coach house which although classed as a 'cosy' room was superb with a thermostat on the radiator and a fan for summer months as there is nothing worse than being too hot and not being able to do anything about it. We had a scrumptious afternoon tea which was all home made and was very special. The breakfasts and candlelit dinners were also to die for and compliments go to the chef. Most important of all was the superb service and professionalism by all of the staff - the best we have ever had, and made our stay very special. Unfortunately on Saturday night and Sunday morning there was a party which included some extremely badly behaved children who ran riot up and down the corridors on the wooden floors sounding like a herd of elephants screaming at the top of their voices which somewhat spoilt the ambiance of a romantic candlelit dinner. However, there are lots of little rooms which the hotel utilises for meals and breakfast and dinner guests were allotted one of these which helped to drown the noise and keep the illusion of a more genteel bygone era. All in all this hotel is to die for if you want to stay in a classy hotel which oodles character and charm.

Room Tip: The hotel is situated on a main road but is surrounded by its own parkland so there is no road noise...

We recently had a very enjoyable weekend at the Beechfield House Hotel. The hotel is well appointed and in beautiful grounds. The room itself was clean comfortable and very quiet. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food both breakfast and dinner was excellent, the food being locally sourced. The Hotel is an ideal base to explore the surrounding countryside which is also beautiful. It was my wife’s first to the area and it certainly will not be our last.

The Beechfield Hotel is a fabulous place. Set in a beautiful country side, I found the place very quiet and calm. The old world charm has been retained while modern facilities are available inside each room. It was fun going thru the maze to reach my room. The room was spacious, well lit and a roomy bathroom too. The whole setting was enough to sooth my tired nerves after a long work day.
Breakfast was simple but plenty. The staff offered cooked options but I was in a hurry. Very courteous and friendly staff is a big plus.
I wish i could have stayed for a longer period especially a weekend so I could enjoy the ambience better.
This is a must visit place if you are around in Chippenham or Beanacre.

Room Tip: Stayed in "Poplar" - they have names for each room - this one was definitely good.

Magnificent old building, oozing character & charm. Our room was gorgeous, however the bathroom was looking a little tired.(we were told it was scheduled for renovation). The staff were friendly & helpful, but it was the food that would take me back!!. The dinner we were served was by far the best meal we'd eaten on our trip through the UK. Full compliments to the chef on duty that night. Would definatelystay there again.

My daughter's wedding reception was held at Beechfield House in July last year. When the Hotel's Wedding Organiser changed early in the preparations the new one worked very hard to make the change almost seamless. She was very accommodating, full of suggestions and once we had decided she liaised with the various third parties on our behalf like the Marquee company. We had exclusive use of the Hotel for the wedding reception. The initial welcoming drinks were provided in the garden area which was peaceful and had places for the people to sit or stand with the option of sitting inside in the shade. The Marquee was laid out beautifully, the food was lovely and the service both at the reception and the welcoming drinks was first class in that staff were always on hand ready to help but not in any way intrusive. The setting of the building and the gardens is beautiful and the bedrooms were luxurious. It was a fantastic day in a beautiful hotel made perfect by the attentive and friendly staff.

We have just spent a night at this hotel as our friend had their wedding held there, First the venue was excellent, the staff made sure the day was perfect for the Bride & Groom and all the guests, The food was great. We stayed the night in the coach house and our room was really very good, great bed and nice pillows, the bathroom was very nice with lovely fluffy towels and bathrobes. We also had very good toiletries.. The breakfast was all you could wish for, if you did not want a cooked breakfast they had a great array of other foods to choose from.
I have also found out they do afternoon Teas so will be taking my mum for one of these.

The hotel itself is a beautiful country house beatifully refurbished.

We stayed in one of the comfy rooms. The room itself was lovely, the only shame was the cheap dirty shower curtain we had in our bath. I am not sure why the owners bothered choosing a lovely marble bathroom to then finish it in such a cheap way. It could be such an easy thing to do and would give the room a much smarter look.

Breakfast was ok, not great. The continental selection was poor, as there was basically no decent fresh fruit on the buffet table. It would have been nice to have a bigger selection of pastries and breads.

The lady who served us at breakfast was rude and lacked basic customer skills.

Hotel overall ok, but I am not sure I would visit again.
