Stayed 1 night on a business trip with my colleague. What a wonderful cottage, absolutely everything you could ask for. Beautifully presented, quiet location, exceptionally clean and well stocked kitchen. Alexa in the lounge, USB plugs in each room and WiFi. Better than any hotel we’ve stayed in. The only issue we have is that it’s fully booked for the next time we are here.
Elegant and stylish suite(junior) in an excellent position in relation to Salisbury and stonehenge. Best of all, a great pub is literally just over the road.
The bed is very comfortable with an white linen and no expense spared on duvet, pillows etc.
Everything has been thought of including alexa, fire tablet, smart TV and charging cables for various phones.
The kitchen is fully equipped and the food is is all from waitrose!
Would certainly recommend, just slightly weird that we did not meet the owner.
We stayed here for a night when we visited Stonehenge and I wish we could have stayed longer than just one night--from the breakfast items in the fridge, the warm comforters, games and books for the kids and the hairdryers and curling irons, every detail was thought of. And the fact we just had to walk across the street to the Wheatsheaf Inn for dinner- very convenient!
This is the second time myself and my girlfriend have stayed at Stonehenge Cottages in the junior suite. And it was lovely.
We first came for Valentines a few years ago and had such a nice time and this year, when looking for a Christmas break to get away from the city we couldn't think of anywhere better to come. Nothing comes close.
It is spotless, cosy, incredibly well equipped and a perfect getaway. Stephen and Hazel, the owners really make you feel at home, there is everything you could ever want and need in the property including the fridge being stocked which is wonderful. It really was the most idyllic weekend away and a perfect rest from the hectic life of London.
On our route down we stopped in Winchester which was on the way and in the evening went to the pub opposite which was also really nice.
Would highly recommend to anyone, couples or families. We would happily come back again and are already planning the next trip.
A big thank-you to Hazel, the owner of this marvellous apartment. Nothing was too much trouble and the accommodation easily accommodated 4 adults. The breakfast provisions were a nice touch and the Wheatsheaf hotel across the road was a slice of traditional English pub fare. While a little out of Salisbury city, the style and amenities won us over.
Quite simply, everything was beyond expectations. The executive suite in the cottage is very large, cozy, provides for some very good sleep, the fridge is already filled with everything one could possibly require for breakfast. But it is the details that suprise, such as the USB sockets on every night table, Alexa in the living room, first class TV, excellent WIFI connection, the decoration and the fresh flowers in many rooms. All this at less than a 10 minute drive from Stonehenge. My only regret is having planned to stay for one night only, which means we could not fully enjoy everything that Stonehenge Cottages had to offer. Oh, and the pub on the other side of the road is the added bonus!
We stayed in the executive suite which was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. It had all the mod cons and a great selection on DVD’s. The kitchen was basically equipped but with a great pub over the road we didn’t need to cook and we had a very enjoyable evening there. Great food and service. There was a delicious range of ingredients left for breakfast including fresh free range eggs from their own hens.
Our only disappointment was that the cottage is right next to the road. This is a country road but during peak times it was very busy, we assumed it may be a cut through road. Overnight it was a lot quieter however we were woken by cars racing by in the middle of the night. We are not used to road noise so are sensitive to it.
