“A not-so-fast fast food restaurant.”
Reviewed December 2, 2012

If it wasn't for the free wifi that this place offered i would have stayed in the hotel room across the carpark. Ate here alone while staying at the Travelodge next door, and goodness it's not so nice. The best way i can describe it is an overpriced McDonalds.

The decor is american cafeteria styled, everything is red (because red makes you hungry) so that's not surprising, the windows cant be seen out of at night which i find rather creepy, the big tv in the corner wasn't on, the loos were very fastfood resturanty.

The staff were unfriendly, obviously not wanting to be there.

Depending on what you want the cost can vary, you can get pancakes from £3 and you could pay £8.19 for steak and chips.

I expected my food to be delivered quite quickly, it wasn't. I ordered pancakes, perhaps the most simple to make, there were two other groups in the restaurant with me, one couple and a family of four, my meal took half an hour, they all had their meals when the arrived.

The food was average.

All in all, if you want to be able to take your time using up the free wifi, go for it. If you want a nice meal, there is a burger king next door, their meal would be a lot faster and a lot nicer.

“Nice Sausage”
Reviewed November 29, 2012

We ate here on 19/11/12 on route to London. The service was good and friendly. The food was very nice, my wife was super impressed with American breakfast. My Olympic breakfast was also good. The coffees were a bit overpriced for the size of the cup but on the whole enjoyable. The room itself was not very warm or comfortable.

“The food was hot”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

Had dinner and breakfast here whilst visiting Stonehenge and staying at Travelodge next door.
The food is nothing to rave about, it was hot and tasty.
The decor is bright red plastic and would not look out of place in an American bruger advert, that said, if you want silver service, this is not the place.
Convenient if you are staying next door.

“Half a Blumenthal, decor not the food...”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

Been a few years since we last visited, decor been updated to the soulless clean lines that work when the food is executed well as with the Heston Blumenthal refresh up the A303 at Popham. I do get it... They are trying... but overpriced and perhaps over-stressed on the day we visited. Americano coffee made with filter coffee and an extra shot of espresso - err no. All issues, errors or omissions rectified upon asking but even with a 20% off for return visit, it's still too much to bring ourselves to contemplate. JD Weatherspoons (The Bell Pub) in Amesbury High Street is still the best quality/value breakfast in town.

Live locally and had not been to LittleChef for about 2 years! Very disappointed in the American style breakfast - just not enough on the plate (2 small pancakes, a spoonful of scrabbled egg & 2 small bits of bacon does not equate to £7).
Interior is like a College refectory, with an atmosphere to match!
Little Chef - sort this place out before another icon of Britishness goes down the pan!
