Booked an afternoon tea for mum as a Mother's Day treat, it was absolutely wonderful, the sandwiches were presented beautifully and tasted great too, the cakes were gorgeous, the waiters, attentive but not too attentive, all in all a most enjoyable experience and reasonably priced, being approx £50 for two champagne cream teas. It's definitely must repeat outing.

I stayed here on the 21st April for a wedding and while the event itself was absolutely fabulous, the hotel needs to make a couple of changes.
First of all, for the price you pay you would expect air conditioning. I stayed in room 29 outside the main hotel in an out building. While the room was very big and comfortable, it was just too warm and i woke up a few times. However, the place was very beautiful and sophisticated.
And second of all. I have no problems paying £3.90 for a pint premium lager but i do have a problem paying £3.90 for what i call cheap lager! The only options on draft was Fosters and Kronenberg. This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel! How on earth can you justify charging those prices for some of the cheapest lagers out there. A 4 star hotel should be serving premium drinks!
They are my only issues and like i said the wedding itself was fantastic. A big well done to the staff who worked and especially the MC as he was always at hand to help and solve any problems. They really do excel and should be proud of what they do. Thank you everyone who worked the Trafford wedding.

We booked the Easter break as we were celebrating our 30th Wedding Anniversary. On arrival we were warmly greeted with a drink and petit fours. We were allocated a beautiful suite with lovely views over the grounds, chilled wine, flowers, and chocolate treats were waiting for us along with a congratulations card which was a nice touch. Dinner in the Fluer de Lys restaurant was superb, and the waiting staff were very attentive. Thank you to you all for making our celebrations so special. We very much look forward to staying again.

We stayed over for a wedding in April and had lunch in the brasserie. The menu was really quite pretentious and definitely overpriced. Lunch for four without desert and with only a couple of glasses of wine per person was £160 which did not feel like good value for money. The food was nice but not outstanding. The B&B rate at £145 was good value - the room was large, clean and pleasant and the bed was very comfortable indeed. The duvet, pillows and sheets were of an excellent quality as were the Elemis toiletries in the bathroom. There was a good selection of tea and coffee and the breakfast was generous and of a good standard. The room (No 20) was in the main building at the top of the stairs and was quite noisy. The plumbing gurgled all night and creaky floorboards and slamming doors were very apparent. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful especially the lady at breakfast. I wouldn't return for the food but as a wedding venue it was very good.

Room Tip: Ask for a room other than room 20 if you want a peaceful night's sleep!

My wife and I booked the 'Secret' Easter Sunday break as part of a birthday treat. On arrival the hotel welcomed us with a lovely room upgrade (Garden Wing) and yummy Petit Fours.

It appeared the Fleur de Lys (main) restaurant was closed on Sunday evenings and we were booked to dine in the Brasserie; we should not have worried, the food was fabulous and the service excellent.

Overall the staff were very professional and attentive.

On the Monday we had a fabulous breakfast and were given directions for the wonderful 'Wentbridge Walk' which took us approx 2 hours to complete the full circular walk via Kirk Smeaton village.

Visited and stayed over for a wedding on the 13th of April. Arrived a little after noon (wedding at one) to be told our room would not be ready for an hour or so! As it happened we had not travelled too far so were already changed for the ceremony, I had told them when booking that we were with the wedding party so I didn't think it unreasonable that out room should have been available. Had to leave my suit carrier and our overnight bags draped over a chair at the back of reception whilst attending the ceremony. Not ideal. Ceremony was flawless though, a real pleasure. Room was made available to us afterwards and our luggage had been taken up. Room was nice enough, spacious and clean, tea, coffee etc and the usual tray of crisps, nuts, sweets, although where they dreamt the prices up for the above is beyond me. Outrageous! On to the wedding meals, the dinner itself was a disappointment, an ok starter, followed by barely lukewarm soup and again, a barely warm main course. Not acceptable. Was asked which wine with dinner (merlot was the red on offer) but our waitress had only got the dregs left in her bottle so that's what I got with a promise of return which never happened. Evening buffet was again not of the standard I would have expected, more lukewarm offerings. Breakfast was the usual continental buffet complete with rubber cheese and curled up salami along with a cooked option which can only be described as spartan. To sum up, from a hotel which prides itself on reputation, not nearly good enough. Would I visit again? Probably not. Average food and expensive drinks. Disappointed.

We had the most magical amazing wedding at Wentbridge House and every need was catered for. The whole experience from planning to numerous visits to having every question answered, the menu tasting...everything was just faultless. Nicola and Chloe who planned our wedding with us were fantastic, and after looking at numerous venues are the reason we ultimately chose Wentbridge, nothing was too much trouble and they made it a very stress free experience. The day itself was amazing, having a young baby my morning was quite stressful with unexpected tantrums from my little one but Mark, our masterof ceremonies was brilliant. He helped me so much on the day and made our day what it was, he was again faultless in ensuring everything went to plan and smoothly for us and acted amazingly during our babies outbursts!!! From the ceremony, to the drinks reception, the canapés the wedding breakfast, the food was outstanding, everything was just perfect. Mark looked after the top table so well and we couldn't have asked for more from him on the day!! The evening reception was equally well ran by Mark and the team and we used Winston the hotels DJ who was the most lovely genuine guy and got everyone on their feet!! Everyone at the wedding has commented on how beautiful the venue was how well ran and planned it was and how good the staff were!! Our bridal suite was also stunning and such a nice room to return to after such a manic day!!! The following day the staff all greeted us warmly at breakfast, which is also outstanding and such an amazing choice. All in all we had the most amazing day and it was made what it was due to Nicola, Chloe and Mark being utterly fabulous!!! Cannot thank them enough. Stunning hotel, amazing attention to detail, beautiful grounds, wonderful staff and we will remember our day forever and look forward to returning to Wentbridge House soon. I could go on and on about every little detail, but if you want an amazing wedding experience with dedicated staff, beautiful venue and grounds and fabulous food/drink then Wentbridge needs to be on your list!!!!
