We had a fantastic meal on Saturday 17th November. We ate from the Menu de Jour and had three courses for £25 each which was washed downed with a bottle of Guy de Chassey. The food was genuinely delicious and unlike some of the other reviewers, I thought that it was well priced for a Michelin star restaurant. I also found the waiters to be very friendly and they were always on hand to refill the champagne flutes and water glasses. The atmosphere was relaxed and the restaurants old world charm made it feel like we were eating in grannies lovely old cottage (complete with inglenook). My only gripe is their website. I tried to use it several times last week but the URL’s (links) didn't work properly. Even when they eventually sprang back into life, the website looked as if it had been developed by someone in their bedroom. Many of the ‘clickable’ options are very hard to read as they are in a small font with vertical text that has letters displayed at 90 degrees to the perpendicular. Come on Box Tree, shape up with your IT, not everyone will persevere as I did.
