This time we stayed in Askwith at the front, last time in Burnstall at the back. Both rooms were similarly tasteful furnished in contemporary style. Huge beds and very, very comfortable with good quality fine bed linens.

Bathroom shower was fab, however the bath took ages to fill, before having a relaxing soak.

Cleanliness of the room and all hotel areas was immaculate.

Some low level noise from the television downstairs in the bar as we retired to bed early.

Check in/ out was friendly and efficient.

Credit where it is due this is a great hotel, with the pub and le Bistrot Pierre offering excellent choice and value. Everyone was so friendly staff and locals. We found it a perfect place for exploring the area.

We will definitely return and bring friends, when the weather is warmer. I hope Le Bistrot Pierre offer more hotel accomodation of this quality, in the future, at other locations, because they appear to have the recipe for success.

Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back or not over the bar area may be quieter. Not really a big issue though and certain...

After a long drive to arrive at a hotel that has an incredibly efficient, the room was very clean and tastefully decorated (agree with previous review first class shower!!)

Down stairs in the bar the excellent and efficient service continued - great food with a lively and warm atmosphere.

Breakfast was excellent too.

Only down side was the fact there is no car park - so had to park on a public street (albeit on two minutes walk)

Will definitely stay again and would strongly recomend.

Room Tip: I stayed in White Wells which is at the back of the hotel and so was very quiet - I can only guess t...

Stayed one night but wished it had been more. Good room with comfy bed , great bathroom with excellent shower. Although the hotel is on a busy main road, our room at the rear was very quiet and we had a good nights rest. The location of the hotel is great with easy walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants. Breakfast in the adjacent Bistro was included and was very good value with excellent food. The real ale bar serves good beer! We will return!

Room Tip: rear of hotel quieter

Well, I'm an Ilkley resident and sitting in the elegant inn bar right now, warmed by the open log fire, typing this review. Apart from that, I have no connections, so it's an unbiased offering.

All I need to say is that all the praise offered in previous reviews is well-deserved. I particularly like the great range of real ale beers, the excellent quality food at reasonable (pretty good to be honest!) prices, the very helpful and, courteous at all times, bar staff and the excellent back-up at management level.......for e.g the place was decorated beautifully at Christmas and I have seen managers checking/tasting beers for quality.

Any drawbacks? Only two for me. Occasionally, esp at weekends in the evening, it is, deservedly, too busy for me. I really enjoy the quiet times here! Likewise, the music ( and volume of music) just now is absolutely fine. Every now and then, it sounds, to me, like a moggie being strangled, but then I take off for refuge in The Grove, Ilkley's other great place for a drink and have a bite to eat in great surroundings.

Room Tip: Get the best rate and overlooking the front of the hotel
