Ilkley Riverside Hotel
Ranked #9 of 10 Ilkley B&B and Inns

Having stayed here before we were looking forward to staying again, unfortunately the cleanliness of the room left much to be desired! We stayed in room 9 and on visiting the bathroom found a pubic hair on the toilet seat, there was a dirty tissue under the sofa bed in the room and dubious stains on the bed sheet! In the bathroom the wire rack in the shower cubicle was rusty and the whole cubicle needed a good scrubbing! Breakfast in the morning was greasy and disappointing. What a shame as this B&B has the potential to be superb given its location

Good friendly place to stay, food was good, close to town, very comfy beds, what more do you need in a hotel. I would stay here again and would recommend it to my friends, it was also good for being close to the moors.

Ilkley is a great town to visit, and has lots to offer visitors. The Riverside Hotel is superbly located right next to the river and is a very picturesque building, well decked with flowers and pots.
It's a popular pub that has several B&B rooms and is very busy, with guests from all over the world. At weekends, when we went, there was a cafe / burger / fish and chip / ice cream bar open attached to the hotel, which also has a dodgems-type track outside. Community fields and a lovely riverside walk are yards away.
The room we stayed in was spacious but quite basic, as was the en-suite. The breakfast was OK but also basic. £80 a night was overpriced for what we got. But, I guess, you can't put a price on location.

The room was clean and adequate, it needs a main room light though as it was quite dim. The bathroom compact and dated but up to the job. We stayed two nights and had no maid service (replenishing towels etc) Although no decaff available for the room they offered to make me a pot to take up!

The staff are excellent and really friendly. The restaurant is lovely and we had fish and chips there for tea one night, which I can totally recommend, they were delicious. Breakfasts are tasty and done well.

We thought the location was fantastic a short stroll into Ikley, with fantastic views of the river or the moor.

A delightful quite hotel.

Four of us stayed here the night before starting the 82 mile Dales Way. This hotel is on the outskirts of town and beside the River Wharfe so it is very quite place to stay the night. OK maybe the rooms are a little dated, but this is a pub, not a chain hotel. With breakfast from 7-30am this is a great place for a early start to the walk.

We stayed here overnight and whilst the room was clean and comfortable, we were very disappointed with the breakfast. We were told that breakfast finished at 10am and when we arrived at 9:30am, we were greeted with a dining room full of uncleared tables and no one around. When we eventually found someone we were told that breakfast had finished at 9:00am. We asked if it was possible to have some and the manageress told us she might just rustle us up some scrambled egg on toast. When it came, it was the worst I have had in a long time and the toast was cold. We won't be going back there, that's for sure!!

Room Tip: Make sure you get to breakfast on time!!!

Had a very comfortable stay here, fab breakfast, excellent service and staff and the room was comfortable, clean and quiet with a good tv and nice decor. Nice powerful shower too. We live near Ilkley and needed a hotel for a couple of nights, have seen inside but not stayed in a number of the alternatives and are convinced this is the nicest. Others are either dated or in noisy locations. Would definitely recommend now for visiting friends and family.
