Room 6 Stay one night Business Trip
Big Car Park and it is Free
Great value for money Warm Welcome Friendly Smile
Room immaculate, big bed, Bathroom on the small side but immaculate Fitted with Massive shower head just what you need in the morning
Great nights sleep. Food excellent, ate in the bar with locals
Minor points Staff did not seem to move around the bar areas looking for customers ,seemed to be away you had to go and call them!! happened twice. Staff need to be told keep moving around the bar areas
No Wifi in room Excellent wifi downstairs
Could not complete my work in my room
Could management purchase a couple of network extenders that work on the internal electricity sockets so patrons could use if required. Please update room information pack with correct wifi key.
So if you want a great hotel do not hesitate
PS excellent train service into Leeds City so I am not staying in Leeds hotels anymore, get some fresh air and feel like an individual not just a room number and free parking

What a find! Thought my husband had got the price wrong when walked into the room. Fantastic room, coffee, tea, cake, discovered the fridge, with bottled water within. Never seen a shower with two different heads, one that blew me sideways! Towelling robes too. Lovely little touches, like soft toy do not disturb, proper mugs. Impressive decor throughout whole building. Staff very welcoming and attentive. Meal in restaurant could not fault, do take up the offer of booking when checking in or you will not get a place. Be aware that the set menu finished at 7pm. Al la carte menu still excellent value. Fabulous breakfast, cooked or continental. Only inconvenience was the room was warm as only one small window to open, but a fan was provided.

Stayed here with my partner and baby sadly only for one night! The room we had was huge and beautifully decorated and also had an outside roof terrace! We had a lovely evening meal and all the staff were lovely. We had a really comfortable nights sleep and a fantastic cooked breakfast the next morning! We checked out and headed into ilkley which has some nice quirky shops and a Betty's tea room where we enjoyed a cake and cuppa! I will , without doubt be returning to the Wheatley!

booked this as visiting the Art show in Ilkey, & just needed a place to stay BUT when we arrived what a fab surprise the room was great, complete with fridge chilled water cake &plenty of tea & coffee, best shower room ever (a tight squeeze BUT worth it ) As to being unable to open the windows they are fastened to stop foolish people falling out (shame) but there was a fan in the room & we just used that. We ate both nights in the hotel and had a great choice and food was good. Breakfast on Saturday was good no complaints (we opted for continental breakfast)& had cooked breakfast this morning 1 full english &1 eggs benedict & endless suppy of tea/coffee & toast in the sunshine!!! will we book again you bet

We booked The Wheatley Arms via Late Rooms for a two night stay and got a great deal, we choose the Honeymoon Suite (room 4). Absolutely fantastic! The room was very spacious, with a insitu bath in the room, a wonderful bathroom with walk in monsoon shower (trust me, once in you don't want to get out) and a large private outdoor roof terrace with plenty of seating.

The room and hotel in general were spotless, the breakfast was ample and flavoursome using locally sourced produce. Our waitress Sophie was lovely and nothing was too much trouble.

We dined at the hotel restaurant on our last night and we were not disappointed, we both choose the set menu (before 7pm) great value at £11.95 for 3 courses.
And again like the breakfast the food was well cooked and to an excellent standard.

From check-in to check-out all the staff were friendly and helpful.
As we were leaving we did speak to Kate the new Manager to congratulate her on her excellent staff and fantasic hotel.
We would have no problems in recommending this hotel and are already planning another trip soon.

Keep up the good work.

We stayed here for 1 night in a lovely room at the top of the hotel. The room had a roll top bath and the bathroom a large walk in shower and good quality toiletries. The downside of the room was you are unable to open the bedroom and bathroom windows more than an inch which on a warm day was quite stifling, we was told its was for health and safety reasons? We ate in the restaurant and found the food poor and expensive. The breakfast was worse , however there was a good selection on the cold section but the full english was not good at all. We were served undercooked sausages (still pink in the middle) cold undercooked black pudding and the bacon wasn't much better and the poached egg was cold. We got a good deal for the room but if we had paid full price or stayed for more than the 1 night we would have complained.

Room Tip: Ask for one you can open the windows in on a warm sunny day.
