Stayed here while visiting friends over may day bank Holiday the room was lovely and clean and the bedding was so fresh so well done house-keeping.
Breakfast was good such a lot of choice and cooked fresh after talking to the owner Ian he told me all they meat is sourced locally i also with my friends took Sunday lunch here again such choice and everything home made .
On the Sunday night there was karaoke which was great fun and the locals made us welcome on Bank Holiday Monday it was Ilkley carnival we sat in the Hotels beer garden lovely furnishings and good cold beer
Keep up the good work Dalesway ..

Very welcoming and amiable staff, situated right in the heart of Ilkley town centre, not much in the way of parking, but one or two spaces outside you can use, I parked over the road in a church driveway. there is also a town car park behind piccololinos (Itialian) very near by. Accomodation was a no nonsense but functional room, with TV, tea making and travel lodge style towels and soap. (I brought my own stuff for washing as anticipated this) There was also a small arm chair. Definitely spacious enough but bathroom was very cramped. The bed was not very comfortable, fine for one night (to drunk to care!!). The Dalesway is a pub, but is also something of a local institution!! and serves coffees and light bites during the day too, I would of thought a lively bar to watch sporting events!! The two owners run this and another late night bar and both are open till late. Ian and Ian are two very interesting characters! worth popping in just to meet them in my view. Didn't eat here during the evening but breakfast was old school yorkshire!! damn fine!. I love that you the sort of tea pot you have at home, not one of those crappy little metal things you sometimes see. All told it does what it says on the tin with a big yorkshire welcome and a hearty breakfast!!

Room Tip: Book early if you want to get a park spot next to the hotel.

A no nonsense comfortable hotel. Staff were pleasant and rooms clean. Excellent value for money and if you could make it up the stairs after the breakfast you are a better person that I am! It is a pub and we could have expected some noise but we were pleased when a lively bar's celebrations didn't make it upstairs to disturb our sleep.

Please see my review on this hotel under the name of the hotel in the restaurant section but as a shortened version a lovely room, friendly welcome and very good breakfast. Good price and would definitely stop again.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the second floor as it could be a little noisy over a weekend with the pub open til very late.

We stayed one night before and one night after walking the Dales Way. On both occasions the welcome from Jenna was very friendly and helpful. On the first night the barman, Richard, arranged somewhere for us to leave our car safely for the 6 days we would be away walking - a young man of good manners and friendly and helpful nature which totally belies the "young people of today" image so many "oldies" like to complain about! We had a small problem with the lock on our first room which was immediately fixed by Ian, one of the managers after Jenna alerted him. By the time we had gone to park our car and returned it was fixed. On the second night, the radiator in our room was not working and again Ian was summoned by Jenna and came immediately with the other manager (also called Ian!) and they moved us to another room with no complaints or any hint that it was inconvenient. The rooms are comfortable and have been updated in a contemporary style which was most tasteful without being overdone. We had breakfast on both occasions, cooked by one of the Ian's, and it was excellent - they only use fresh produce (which we know for sure as a huge amount was delivered on our second morning!). To sum up - you won't find a warmer welcome anywhere, from management and all of the staff, from bar to housekeeping - nothing is too much trouble.

Room Tip: Top floor is quieter, but to be honest the others are really not that noisy.
