Our visit to Brook's on 28th August was excellent. The occasion was for the birthday of a friend and for my husband and myself to visit after being away from the area for 5 years. We were not disappointed. The welcome was warm and friendly as it had always been. The food was excellent and we were pleased to find one or two of our favourite dishes still on the menu - money bags and spam fritters- just to mention a couple. The service was very professional and attentive without being OTT. The four of us felt so relaxed. In conversation with the proprietor,we learned that not only will the restaurant have been open 25 years next February, but also the chef has been there throughout the same period. We think that is a wonderful achievement and long may it continue.
