From the moment we arrived the hotel exceeded our expectations. The helpful and courteous staff, complementary glass of prosecco and spotless and well appointed rooms were all excellent. It is well located to explore the Tuscan countryside and the ease of catching the train to Florence and Sienna was an added bonus. Certaldo Alto, the medieval town about 10 minutes walk from the hotel, is a gem and undiscovered by the majority of tourists to the area which makes it a pleasure to visit. I do not hesitate to recommend Hotel Certaldo for really good value accommodation.

We have just returned from our second trip to Hotel Certaldo and will return. The hotel is excellently situated to explore Tuscany, by car and by train. Certaldo itself has a lovely local feel and we loved Certaldo Alto. The hotel is very comfortable, the rooms are very spacious and the pool and gardens are really nice. The outstanding point about the hotel are the staff, who are all very pleasant and very helpful. A great trip.

Room Tip: We were in the standard room, which suited us well.

The hotel has some minor shortages. Said that, the personnel is so wonderful that offers at least one star more to the hotel.
Breakfast very good with fresh fruit and tasty cakes.
Very good location to visit Tuscan legendary places and places to have good meals and dinners at reasonable prices.
Have with you mosquito repellant.
Complimenti regazze, siete meravigliose.

Hotel Certaldo is the perfect place to stay comfortably while you explore Tuscany.
Although the location on the edge off town near a busy roundabout is not ideal, it is within walking distance from the old city via the funicular and from the railroad station.
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was plenty and delightful.
The room was bright and comfortable with a large bathroom.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the garden.

A bit disappointed with location at first (on the edge of town just off a busy roundabout and noisy main road) however the large room and massive bathroom for £95 per night b and b for two of us couldn't be faulted, and on the advice of the very friendly and helpful staff we took the short walk to the funicular railway and were blown away by the stunning old medieval town at the top. Only took 5 minutes to walk to the funicular so maybe the location wasn't so bad after all!
Excellent breakfast on terrace, swimming pool rather small but still a nice bonus for cooling off in the intense heat.
Staff are excellent at recommendations for eating out etc; don't miss Ostaria del Vicario in the old town for great food and stunning views.

We stayed at this hotel as we were attending a wedding nearby. Thotel is easy to walk to from the train station/town centre.
The staff were very friendly, we were given a glass of prosecco on arrival and they were very accommodating throughout our stay and had organised taxis for us and recommended restaurants (there is a terrace restaurant in the medievel town with incredible views which is a must!)
Rooms were clean and airy, breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice.
Would definitly recommend this hotel, might not be the best place to stay for a long holiday as you may want to consider staying in a Tuscan villa but for a few days pit stop you cant go wrong.
The wasnt much on offer in terms of evening food but there are lots of inexpensive restaurants nearby.
Thank you for making our stay very enjoyable.
