A large group of friends and family shared a villa in Certaldo and on one evening ten of us chose the osteria for dinner. I manged to book a table in Italian but by the time we arrived Chiara had prepared a menu in English for us. We received a very friendly welcome and enjoyed a wide selction including antipasto, a trio of cheeses, zuppa Certaldese (a local onion soup speciality) and a beautifully fragrant cinghiale. Including two courses for all, few desserts, beer, wine and water the bill was still less than 30 Euros per head. A great way to spend an evening in Tuscany and excellent value.
