I have been to the Dreamcatcher House a few times now, and it just keeps getting better and better. Every time, I have met the most amazing people and remained friends with them for years. It is the perfect getaway: close to amazing surf, incredible food, safe and secure place to call home for a while. First, the surf...not only did we surf out front, but the Dreamcatcher took us to other locations like Remanso that met everyone's needs. Next, the food....ceviche, black bean burgers, pizza, and amazing breakfasts. Lastly, the actual house...the rooms are neat and nice, with an amazing view, especially the upstairs penthouse where we stayed this time. Additionally, the guys that run the place are a blast and make it all the more fun. We also did yoga every morning, which was such a healthy start to the day, especially if the evening before included yummy Flor de Cana...
Whether you want a healthy yoga/surf vacation, or a fun beach/mojito getaway, this is your place.

We stayed at Dream Catcher for a month in September, this was my second trip there. For the value its a great place to stay, all your meals are taken care of by an amazing staff, best part being the family dinner every night with people staying at the house. The surf is consistent and the wind is always offshore, and it attracts a very interesting type of traveller definitely have made some life long friends there and I always recommend friends to stay there if they are heading to the San Juan area.

The Dreamcatcher house stands out in my memory as not only a highlight of my travels through Central America, but as a place i will most surely return too. Perched atop of Maderas beach, the house stands tall commanding a stunning view of the ocean. Modern, with an architecture that is open to the air and water the Dreamcatcher house immerses the mind and soul. The food is delectable and carefully prepared. The atmosphere is tranquil and relaxing and the boys are always considerate, and overflowing in their courteousness and generosity. So far from where we live, we felt right at home and so greatly welcomed. The Dreamcatcher house provide a respite from the usual backpackers hostels. This is a great place and I would recommend that you make it one of your stops while traveling through Nicaragua.

Dreamcatcher is a place like no other (of course this is subjective but I am happy to Rave, so!) So... From the home cooked food.. to its simply lovely location and waking up to the sound of emptiness (bar your few Howler furry friends) plus the view of a perfect beachie staring up at you to list a few, make this place simply a little piece of surfer paradise! Running down barefoot through the woods to the crisp sound of offshore waves & the imminent fun of glassy rights and lefts breaking was simply perfection. Groundhog day gone Good! Super Good!
The boys are great and the best part is that they want you to come along for the ride!
I will retun for sure!
Abe/Dickie you have made this place like no other! Thank you for making my stay in NIca ;)
