Had a group of 8 for dinner. Better than average food for sure. Nice asian flare.

It is on the water, but a little further off the strip. If you are going from Pelican Eyes take a cab if you are not up for the 15 min walk.

Ordered the bang bang chicken with noodles and it was horrible. Looked and tasted as if someone had cleaned a grill and covered chicken with the burned char. Terrible. Great fruit drinks, but was only able to order one each because a waiter never came around after taking the initial order. I suppose he could tell we were not eating our meals and avoided us. The specials are good, but don't order off the menu - all the chicken dishes are either super salty or have no flavor except as described above. The people we were with had had the specials a few nights and enjoyed them, but we wanted to try other things and ordered from the menu - bad idea!

I was looking for a tasty yet relaxing place for dinner and happened upon this restaurant. Like the other reviews, this place has both great ambiance and delicious food. The menu is comprised of a fusion of Nicaraguan and Mediterranean/Italian flavors. The decor is modern with a hint of Nicaragua and the atmosphere is just so relaxing and chill. If you're looking for a nice, classy evening out with your loved ones, whether that be with your family, children or hubby, this is the spot in San Juan!

We started with an appetizer of basket with platano – friters & giant potatoe chips & chicken sata, which had such great flavor. For drinks we had frozen mango smoothies that were wonderful! I ordered an entree of pasta with shrimp and lemon cream sauce, my husband ordered the Obama Burger, my mom had the garlic grilled lobster all tasted great! Sadly, we had no room for dessert. All of that came out to be around $20 per person. A bit pricey for Nicaragua but it is a restaurant geared towards tourists so what do you expect? I personally felt it was worth it! We had a wonderful evening here and would recommend it to everyone!

Enjoyed Christmas dinner at Bambu. It's like a dream restaurant! Completely different than anywhere else in San Juan del Sur, very sophisticated- with a lovely little pool that we soaked our feet in, a great view of the beach & sunset.
Loved how well seasoned the chicken wings were. The orange-glazed mahi mahi with mashed potatoes was perfect, a very generous portion.
