Everything you want if you are looking for a luxurious off the beaten path type of resort. Hard working staff, great private houses and rooms, wildlife everywhere. The meals are excellent, guides more then capable and location is remote enough to feel isolated yet close enough to go to town or beach whenever the need strikes.

I went to Finca Las Nubes with a group of women for a yoga retreat and was blown away. Amazing and friendly staff were so kind and dedicated (and patient with our general lack of Spanish); fresh, mouthwatering meals were cooked from produce, eggs, etc. from the Finca Las Nubes organic farm; I drank the best coffee I've ever tasted (roasted right there on the stove top, ground, and brewed), delicious fresh squeezed juice, and lemongrass tea every morning; woke up and went to bed in a lovely room with a stunning view, hammock on the porch, and the sound of monkeys in the surrounding trees...beauty everywhere.

Our driver Marcelino was a fantastic guide and funny to boot. Security was top notch, which is a huge bonus in this part of the world (on the way home, I met someone who had stayed in the same town, and his family had everything stolen the second night of their trip, which obviously offset the great deal they'd gotten on accommodations).

Finca Las Nubes is very well run, ecologically friendly, and all around wonderful. I can't say enough about it. The only thing I wish I'd known before going was the tipping structure, which I didn't realize was separate from the accommodation prices. Knowing those details would have helped me budget and save appropriately for the trip beforehand.

We have been fortunate enough to have traveled to many places around the globe. Our seven days at Finca Las Nubes, were among the most memorable we have had. Nicaraqua is a complex country, but its people are so kind and what Chris and his daughter are doing at their ecofarm is truly impressive.

This is a wonderful experience. And should you get the opportunity to play golf with Chris, be sure to bring your "A" game!

Had the chance to visit Finca Las Nubes with my four kids while on spring break, what a great vacation. There was plenty for all of us to do and the owner and staff gave us personal attention, making sure we knew what was worth seeing and what wasn't. We loved: horseback riding on the property, swimming all day and all night in our own infinity pool, lazy hours in the many hammocks reading, delicious home cooked meals of local fruits, vegetables, and seafood, the smell of freshly brewed coffee in the mornings, pick up soccer games with the locals on the beach, and Da Flying Frog zipline. The villa we stayed in was immaculate and the staff was attentive to our every need. I've never been so pampered at such an affordable price, we will be back!

Tranquility at its best! It took less than 24 hours for my husband to put his business on the back burner, a first in years! Natalie greeted us with staff, rum and wine as we arrived. Each day she checked on our needs and service quality. Lydia and her staff provided tasty meals for our vegetarian son as the rest of us savored chicken and fish accompanied by farm- fresh fruit juices. They even did our laundry twice in the week! Casa Bella gave us beautiful sunsets while Mario, our driver, was a great tour guide during the week. Skyler and Diego provided a firsthand look at the workings of an organic farm, the systems in place for its sustainability. Jonie made our horseback ride a pleasure, a comfortable experience for two nervous riders in our team. Our Christmas was filled with peace and joy. Looking for a serene place with attentive hosts, FLN is it!

We just returned from a lovely 10 day vacation on the farm. We returned tan, relaxed and feeling like we met new friends and had an experience in Nicaragua that we could not have gotten anywhere else.

We arrived at the farm just before sunset and were blown away by how beautiful the views were. The house was comfortable, the pool gorgeous, and it was nice to have a few amenities like wireless internet. Chris and Natalie met us and gave us an overview of the farm, and were very warm and inviting.

We arranged to use one of the farm's car. Marcelino was our guide and getting to know him was a highlight of our trip. He was kind and knowledgeable and we felt were in good hands with him at the wheel. He took us to Granada, Masaya, taught us how to surf, showed us Playa Coco and arranged a fun sunset boat ride. it was nice to get off the farm and tour the countryside, but we also enjoyed hanging out by the pool on the comfy rocking chairs and playing endless games of Oh Hell on the patio late into the night.

The farm is truly a farm, with gardens, chickens, cows, goats, and horses. It was great fun touring the farm with Marcelino and hearing about the operation. It's pretty amazing. We also took a horseback ride with Johnny which was so much fun. From the top of the ridge you could look all the way to Costa Rica. Just beautiful. Lidia and Hayley made sure we were well fed throughout our stay with delicious local dishes. They even made a special postre for me to celebrate my birthday.

My husband enjoyed playing golf at a nearby 9 hole course with Chris. He is a very interesting and dynamic person and we are so happy to have gotten to know him.

To those who wrote about bugs--yes there are some because it is a dry tropical forest. We did see a couple of scorpions and a tarantula, but the mosquitoes weren't bad and we were not particularly bothered. One of my daughters slept under the mosquito net, but the rest of us loved sleeping with the door open and enjoyed the fresh breezes. As another reviewer mentioned, screens on the doors in the main living room would have been nice, but we tended to be out on the patio and not inside, even in the evening.

We found the people of Nicaragua to be very kind and friendly. Thank you for welcoming us and making our trip something we will always remember.

From December 5 -18 we held a training in Aquaculture, Aquaponics and Permaculture at Finca Las Nubes with 20 participants and it could not have been better! Not only were the accommodations luxurious, beautiful, clean and comfortable, but they were hosted by an amazing staff and community! We felt so at home there in our beautiful and spacious villa and got to know the staff and community very well. They are an amazing group and are actively restoring the land while providing jobs to local Nicaraguans and growing amazing organic food for the guests and community! They have amazing examples of sustainable land use and agriculture!
Beautiful and loving staff, breath taking views, gorgeous villas, Aquaponics, animal husbandry, food forests, bee keeping, on-site carpentry, Permaculture, organic farming, horseback riding and walks in nature, Finca Las Nubes has a lot to offer anyone!
The place is very impressive and I would (and do) recommend it to anyone.
Thank you FLN!
