When checking in, we had a bit of a bad start. At first we didn't get the accommodation we had reserved but later we were moved to the right place. Also, the site manager had not responded to our safari reservations made in advance and for a while I looked like we were going to miss out on the activities we had planned.

However, the staff on site listened to us and really made an effort to turn things around. They made sure we could carry out the things we had planned and the head ranger took us out on a really amazing Kruger safari himself. The accommodation is not luxurious but has a exiting atmosphere with an amazing view an is well kept. The bungalows are each separate with a large terrace and the fantastic view of the nature as your only visible neighbor. Also, the private outdoor shower is really nice.

Along Kruger we also did a bush walk safari, evening drive, horse back safari and elephant interaction at the private game reserve, all great.

Our opinion is that the general manager is not very service minded and really does not make much of an effort but on the other hand the staff on site really do their best to ensure their guests a pleasant stay. We wouldn't hesitate to return!

recently had the pleasure of visiting Kwa Madwala, Manyatta Rock Lodge for our honeymoon. Everything was superb, the staff were fantastic, the food was great. We treated ourselves to the Micro light safari and some spa treatments and the experiences will stay with us for life. The ellies had deserted but hey thats life was not a biggie so we were not dissapointed by that, at least they back in the wild. Would highly recommend to anyone as we had a marvellous experince.

This was our first safari - family including 18 year old son, organised by UK Imagine Africa so we hoped their recommendation was good - and yes we were very impressed. Rooms were more than adequate, immaculate and interesting yet workable fun design; hugely private balcony and outside shower was a novelty. Beds large and very comfy. Staff very friendly and relaxed, food; more than adequate - good wholesome food, not top slass dining, but it was a safari camp and drinks / extra meal prices good value. Did two safaris in reserve and rangers were very informative and enthusiastic - we ended up 20m on foot from rhinos!! Perfect day in Kruger - saw 3 leopard!, cheetah, and rest of big 5. Pool small but did the job - safari prices good value - would recommend/ return.

Room Tip: site is on hill - we had to walk up and down steep hill to main facilites - but didn't bother us...

Once they had my bank details they took money from my account without telling me or getting my permission.
Weeks on I still have not got all my money back.

Also be aware that you may like me be given a a room with unsafe, damaged, and missing items.

It claims to be 4* luxury but was not as clean and comfortable as 2" and 2* guest house I subsequently stayed at.

Room Tip: Find somewhere else or like me you may well regret it

please do not pay any money in advance for the elephant rides. I have been waiting for 5 weeks for a refund - the elephants ran away with the wild ones. According to this firm they cannot refund immediately on my card it has to go to their accounts department - which i believe is on the moon

We had the pleasure of staying one night at Kwa Madwala Private Game Reserve at the Manyatta Rock Camp and it was a experience we will never forget. Upon arrival we were greeted with drinks and friendly staff, the room was well layed out with spectacular views. Dinner was supurb under the African skies with traditional African dancers adding to the experience. We had a "bush breakfast" which is a absolute amazing experience.

We have just returned from the most amazing holiday at the manyatta rock camp. The staff were absolutely fantastic and couldn't do enough for us.

The boma and bar area had the most fantastic views over the reserve, resident bush baby's and monkeys to keep you amused and the 3 course meals were delicious even for a picky eater like me.

We were kept busy for the week with game drives and day trips out to the Kruger/ panoramic tour both of which were excellent and well worth the money. We managed to see the big 5 (although the buffalo was at Kruger)

We have both agreed we will absolutely return as it offers good value for money in a great setting!
