When my out of town friends ask where to stay when visiting Hershey, this is my recommendation. This Inn is just a few minutes away, yet away from the hustle and bustle. The grounds surrounding are serene. A horse lovers retreat. The gardens are beautiful to see in the summertime. The rooms and Inn are clean and well appointed. Guests return here time and time again.

If you sat down to list all the things you wanted in a B&B, chances are you'd end up describing Westwynd Farm. But Westwynd offers amenities that would probably go beyond your list, more subtle items that you might never ask for or even expect. We stayed for two nights in July and found everything perfect. Our list would include: 1. Tastefully decorated room - check. 2. Spotlessly clean - check. 3. Outstanding breakfast - check. 4. Convenient location - check. 5. Friendly and helpful host and hostess - check. 6. Spacious grounds with nice views - check. 7. Never ending fresh-baked goodies. 8. Unlimited hot and cold beverages - check. 9. WiFi and guest computer -check. 10. Outstanding and friendly staff - check. 11. Plush towels and robes - check. 12. Elegant toiletries - check. 13. Terrific maid serice -check. The extras? Just to name a few, unlimited red wine and chilled white wine; fresh popped popcorn; several common areas including a library, two parlor areas with fireplaces and outdoor porches with swing chairs and rocking chairs; beautiful horses in the barn and fields. Carolyn and Frank have put their hearts and souls into Westwynd and it shows in every nook and cranny. When Carolyn is not greeting guests, it seems as thiough she is baking constantly, putting out exquisitely delicious baked goodies. She personally cooks and serves your breakfast, which includes fresh waffles, omelets, etc., and side items like blueberry muffins right out of the oven. And Frank can be seen working the farm, repairing the road, mowing the pastures on this tractor, etc. Westwynd Farm truly sets the standard by which all B&Bs should be measured. It is a true gem.

Room Tip: The Trapper room is probably the most private room in the inn, on the 2nd floor with its own balcony...

The communication from our innkeepers up to our stay was so personal.. we felt welcome from the minute we opened the front door. This is really a beautiful property-front porch, pond, horses grazing nearby, gorgeous décor & antiques & quilts. Our room was so relaxing, bed was comfy and all so clean. Hershey treats too! Breakfast served early when we needed and we wished we could have arrived earlier to enjoy a longer stay. Felt like we were special friends just visiting. All around nice place that we will come to again.

Room Tip: we stayed in Sea Gift, great murals, view & cozy fireplace (couldn't use, it was 98 degrees...

We were only lucky enough to stay here one night, but plan to stay longer in the future. We ( family of 5 including boys 18, 15, and 11) stayed in the Carriage House. This was the boys' first experience at a B and B. They are lucky enough to have stayed at many nice resorts/condos and were a bit "nervous" about this new experience. We have previously stayed at the Hershey Lodge. Within 5 seconds of meeting Carolyn and getting the house tour, I was getting the thumbs up for such a great find! We had just come from a day at the Park and were in dire need of showers and drinks and A/C. Everything was provided and then some...the Carriage House is huge with a full kitchen. We enjoyed Carolyn's snacks, cleaned up, and visited the barn. My kids loved seeing all the horses and playing with the cats. We even agreed to skip a return to the Park after dinner so we could enjoy the Inn! Best of all, everyone affiliated with this property went above and beyond to say hello, engage us in conversation, teach us about the animals etc. My son forgot his toiletry bag containing his retainer ( under the sink). I realized when we arrived home. Carolyn found it and is mailing it to us, saving us at least $300!! That would not happen in a resort...Did I mention the amazing breakfast, lovely porches, and rocking chairs...

I love the inn. It is my idea of an reenergizing retreat. I love the view from my window ,the front porch and the quiet of all the rooms. if I need excitement it is only minutes away but by far I enjoy the oneness with nature, the good food and the wonderful hosts.

Room Tip: I personally love Bright flash or Killarney, next in line Trapper , In our time.

Really enjoyed our stay at Westwynd. My family took the Carriage House, which was even more spacious than we expected. Really enjoyed the excellent breakfasts and friendly hosts. My son liked feeding the horses -- and we all enjoyed having some fresh-made sweets after a long day at Hershey Park (brownies, corn bread, lemon squares and more). The refrigerator stocked with beer and wine also was a hit.
We're already considering making this little trip an annual end-of-school-year tradition.

Room Tip: Carriage House is pricey, but with a loft, three couches that fold into beds and a full kitchen, you...

We've stayed in many a beautiful property. The Westwynd is no exception. The lush Pennsylvania countryside seems to lure you on to the grounds. Despite the delightfully furnished public rooms, we sat on the east facing porch and listened to the trickle of stream water harmonize with the sounds of nature. No better way to wake up or compose oneself for sleep.
Unlike many properties, Westwynd does not nickel and dime you to distraction. Almost anything you want desire, including beer, wine, soft drinks, coffee and of course every variety of Hershey's vast product line is there for your enjoyment and included in the room rate.
Of course the staff is helpful. Our room was large, 30x30, and contained a raised jet tub and European style shower. The furnishings were turn of the 19th century and the bed was comfortable and inviting.
My only critique - WIFI range is limited with spotty coverage in rooms. Other than that, save a couple of hundred bucks and stay here instead of the better known Hershey Hotel. Just minutes away from all the attractions Hershey has to offer.
