At check in we had to wait several minutes because there was a line. I don't have a complaint about this as we were there for a concert at Hershey Park as were several other guests. However, the room was substandard for the price ($278/night). The bedding had stains and the floors appeared dirty. There were three of us staying in the room. I had to go and request additional towels as there was only ONE bath towel. I waited at the front desk for 15 minutes but I could see into the back office and staff stood there and could see me - but didn't even acknowledge my presence or apologize for the wait. I would not recommend this hotel.

Hello Kristin,

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. I'm terribly sorry to see that your stay was not up to the standard that we strive to provide for all of our guests. We are under new management and ownership here, and we use these reviews to show us where we still have to improve. We have since initiated additional training on the quality standards that we must meet for both our front desk personnel and our housekeeping staff to ensure that an experience such as yours will not occur again. Please feel free to reach out to our management staff to discuss your stay and where we could improve for both your next stay with us or our other guests.

We stayed for 2 nights while out in the area at go to Hersheypark. The hotel is nice and clean. The rooms were clean. The pool are is kept clean and the water was very cool ( I find that the water in indoor pools are sometimes to warm) the breakfast was included and was good. My only complaint is the same one I have with most chain hotels, when I check into a room that sleeps four I expect that there should be four towels in the bathroom. I always have to ask for one more every day.

Hello Chris L,

Thank you so much for taking the time to review our hotel! We're so glad that we were able to accommodate you in our professionally cleaned rooms during your trip to Hershey Park, and that you were able to enjoy our complimentary breakfast buffet and our indoor pool facilities. On your next stay with us, we'll be sure to have our front desk staff make note of how many are in the room so that we will be able to supply you with sufficient towels every day of your stay. We can't wait to have you back with us on your next trip to the Hershey area. Have a great day!

Based on other reviewers, I called and asked for a room on the front of the property so the train did not wake up my little one. Even on the front of the building (325), train was noticeable, but luckily did not wake her up.

Poor guy checking people in seemed to be the only worker. He was answering phones, checking people in, and had to go get us a crib.

Room was pretty average, definitely not $200+ a night worthy. Bathrooms need a caulk update. AC was kinda loud, and never got the room "cold". Had to get in the tub to give LO a bath, and it was deep, but very short so I had a hard time getting out.

Free breakfast was not very good. Very limited selection, and while we appreciated it being their, they could definitely do better for what they charge.

We did not go in the pool, but it looked nice. Building itself seemed to be in a good neighborhood / no security issues. We also liked that the rooms had a microwave and fridge.

Overall, it isnt the worst place we stayed, it was very convenient to shopping and the park, but I would choose to stay a little farther out of town for the cost of the selections we had.

This is the second time I've stated here this summer. I stated here in June with my family when my niece graduated from high school. This hotel had a discounted rate which is why we chose it. At that time, there were a number of problems. My mother called to complain about the issues and was given enough points in her card to get a free night. We are here now using the free night, and the issues continue:
*Internet is very slow and kicks you off
*TV has a number of fuzzy stations. We found a good show to watch on a clear station, but the TV lost signal give minutes before the end of the show. I called the front desk and was told they would look into it and call me back. TV started working again after about 20 minutes, but no call ever came.
*The fridge is cold-ish.
*Stains on floor, badly patched hole in bathroom door.
*Train was an issue the first time (room 323), but was NOT an issue this time (room 324).
*the first time we were first given room 101, which had a very large stain on the floor.
*Breakfast was a disappointment. Breakfast is served from 6:30 to 9:30. As we are early birds and were looking forward to starting our day, we went down at 6:40. It wasn't ready. There were three groups waiting for breakfast. We saw one employee getting things ready. She must have been hungry as she picked some bacon out of the dish with her fingers and ate it while bringing out food. The coffee was cold (we actually walked to the plaza across the road to get fresh coffee). I travel a lot and am used to a good breakfast at most hotels. This was not it. By the time we left at 7:10, they were still not done setting up.
*outdoor seating consisted of one bench and was for smokers. We would have liked to sit outside for a bit in the evening, but there was no place to do so.

Now there were good things:
*beds and bedding were comfy.
*our room, 324, did not hear train, even though it was visible from our window.
*though carpet had some stains, everything else seemed clean.
*electric outlets in lamp next to bed for easy charging overnight
*chalkboard at front entrance stating things to do and times open.
* helpful front person - I heard him helping another guest look up the prices for a local attraction.

We stayed only one night. There was a sign at the desk saying under new management. The staff was very pleasant, there was a trainee at the desk, she was very sweet. The hotel itself was ok. We ran out of toilet paper in one day! I didn't bother to request more since we ran out in the morning and we were leaving right away,The location was great. I felt the price was way too high for the accomodations, however I realize it is peak season so I guess it's all relative.
