My family and I rode the Pumpkin Patch Train. It was a very enjoyable afternoon and everyone was so accommodating! We took our 10 year old granddaughter and our 2 year old grandson. They both enjoyed it so much. I am handicapped and use a walker and was able to walk easily to the train and the conductor put my walker on the train and returned it to me when I got off. The train took us to the pumpkin patch where the kids got their pumpkins, cookies and drinks. There is a nice little gift shop where they were able to get Everett Railroad sweatshirts and they sell roasted nuts as your walking to the train. We can’t wait to go back for another ride!
We took the fall foliage train ride. It was a very nice 3-hour train ride. We have done many train rides throughout Pennsylvania. The one thing which would have made the ride more interesting was to have a recording play pr have someone give the history of the area we were traveling through. The leaves were just beginning to turn and what were turned were beautiful. The boxed lunch provided was delicious. The staff was very helpful and accommodating as my husband walks with the assistance of a walker. We couldn't have asked for a better day weather wise.
Our trip consisted of constant loud screeching noises from the old train cars rubbing against each other non-stop. You couldn't talk with anyone, it gave us all headaches. The views along the way are just sad. You can't even see the beauty of the mountains, our drive there was way more scenic. If you're looking for a torturous train trip instead of a place that cares about your experience, then this is the place for you. I would highly recommend going somewhere where they actually care about your experience you're paying for. I recommend mountainrailwv or Cuyahoga RR. The views are to die for, the customer service is just what you'd expect for am experience of a "train ride of old."
If you need customer support on the phone- you are yelled at and told we don't care and we absolutely give no refunds. Buyer beware.
The train was beautiful and wonderfully restored. The ride was short, just enough to give the kids a ride on a steam train, grab a pumpkin, some cider and cookies and get back to the car before the baby got fussy or the youngest got tired. Very good value overall.
I was there with my daughter and 2-year old grandson for a steam engine train ride. We got there early and there were very few people there so I got some great pictures and videos of the steam engine. There depot & shop area was clean and well run. All there people were friendly. I've done many train excursions and this one is my current favorite, just loved everything about it.
The real deal, traveling by steam train to a pumpkin patch in the fall! Loved the ringing bell on train, the steam created by the train as it travels and the beautiful countryside! Just enough of a ride. Refresh as the pumpkin patch and pick the perfect gourd! Great for kids and adults too!
