“Lovelier The Second Time Around”
Reviewed July 11, 2014

What a vast improvement on our second visit just a few weeks after the first. Service was terrific. very professional. The food was very good. The pork belly appetizer was a bit bland but more than enjoyable. Scallops were absolutely the best I ever had. Large, light and cooked to perfection. Salmon was prepared exactly as requested although we were warned the chef doesn't like requests for any changes. It's BYOB. Have to recommend this restaurant.

“Destination Restaurant”
Reviewed June 21, 2014

Having just read the previous reviews, everything has already been said about this lovely place. It is a beautiful ride into beautiful Bucks County to a famous, historic farm; famous because George Kaufman of New York Theater fame once owned it and entertained his show business friends there. Can't wait to go again! The driveway to the main house alone is a thing of beauty!

“Excellent and deserves to be better known. BYOB.”
Reviewed June 12, 2014

The dining room at this B&B is open to the public and this was the second time I visited. Food was excellent and the service was very professional. Portions are sensible, so you'll want an appetizer and your entree and you'll still have room for dessert. So, yes, it does get expensive but you'll get a meal you'll remember.

The grounds are lovely and if it's not a humid summer day you might want to eat outside.

“Great food in a beautiful setting!”
Reviewed May 9, 2014

Some of the best ribs I've had and everyone raved about the coconut sweet-potato soup. The water comes from the spring on the property so it is pure and wonderful.

“Bucks County Country Dining Delight”
Reviewed March 9, 2014

This farm to table restaurant serves the freshest food prepared creatively and presented elegantly. Located in a historic inn filled with beaitiful antiques on a rolling farm-like property just west of New Hope, the Barley Sheaf restaurant is open to the public as well as inn guests. The menu changes with seasonal availability. So if you are lucky enough to live nearby, you can come often and are not limited in menu choices. Tables over look the garden,or you can watch the chefs cook or be cozy by the fireplace. This restaurant is great for romantic dinner, special occasion or catching up with friends. My husband and I both had fish entrees that were cooked perfectly. I had a winter vegetable salad that was full of unique things like watermelon radishes and micro greens. The desserts are all made in house...very yummu and they make their own truffles to top it all off!
