Spent two nights here - Aug 25 & 26 - with my wife and 3 boys (ages 8, 6, and 3). Prior to booking, I called the hotel to find out a bit more information about the rooms, and was told that rooms with a microwave and refrigerator were more newly renovated. So we booked one of those and we weren't disappointed. Our room had 2 queen beds and we were able to get a rollaway ($15 more a night) for our oldest son. So things were a bit tight but livable. The room itself was what we'd hoped - pretty standard Comfort Inn type room but quite clean and as advertised "newly appointed". Everything worked fine, and I was pleased at the quality of the broadband wireless internet connection. Breakfast was popular with the family - in addition to standard continental fare there are four Belgian waffle irons that guests are free to use and the waffles were pretty good! We didn't use the indoor pool but the pool area looked decent enough.
Very close to Hershey Park (about 2 miles straight down the main road) with restaurants like Applebees, Pizza Hut, Papa John's and other similar and fast food options very nearby. Guests can use a nearby Gold's Gym for $5/day.
In a nutshell, it was what we hoped for. A bit pricey for a Comfort Inn, but that seems to be the cost of staying near to Hershey Park.
