“Great local restaurant, family friendly & delicious!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 1, 2013

We have visited the Hershey area numerous time & like to try the local places. Since we were dressed casually & looking for a decent meal around 8:30pm, we decided to try Dukes & were very happy with our experience.

We were seated quickly, both bar and non-alcoholic drinks were brought out quickly by a friendly server. In fact, everyone we encountered was very friendly and provided great service.

We tried their Maryland Crab Pretzel, spread with crab dip and melted cheese, very yummy! It arrived pretty quickly, which was good, since we were still checking out the large menu. Next came Sante Fe Chicken Salad for my 16 year old, it was huge, filling, fresh lettuce & other veggies and really filled him up.

My husband had the Jamaican Burger with sauteed onions, sweet peppers & spice, he opted for the side of creamy potato salad (we all sampled) and it was delicious. I tried the fish & chips with hand-breaded whitefish, fries and a side of coleslaw. Both the burger and the fish entrees were huge. We couldn't finish, BUT, we did decide, after a short time, to try the Mombo brownie sundae and it was great. What better way to finish off a day in Hershey than to have some Hershey's hot fudge on a brownie sundae?

Prices were reasonable, the pretzel appetizer was about $10, the salad about $8, burger was $9 and the fish was $12. 22oz draft beer was $4.25, 12 oz was $2.75 and the dessert was about $6 (enough for all of us to share).

Tvs are playing in most areas (sports, one had a news show on), tables to accommodate larger groups, if necessary and the restaurant/bar areas are divided. Would come back when in the area!

“Just ok...”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013 via mobile

The food was plain at best. The mango bango was good. The price was fair. I guess the biggest thing was the food was just ok. Oh and if you have kids the out door swing tables are no good because the seats are to far back.

“Great little place if you get the right waiter”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 25, 2013 via mobile

This place was recommended to us by the hotel manager where we were staying. We passed Dukes on our drive to the hotel. It's set up kinda like an Applebee's or TGIFridays but not run like a corporation. It's nice the bar area is on one side and the dining area is separated so if the bar crowd is loud watching sports it doesn't interfere with the dining experience. I took my family out here and each of us tried something different. I tried the San Fransico Burger. It was excellent. The meat seemed a little salty but was otherwise good. My wife tried te tuscan turkey sandwich. It had zucchini on it. That looked amazing. She seemed to enjoy it. My son tried the Bacon Cheeseburger which was more than he coul eat. The one thing that I highly recommend is te Philly Cheese Steak Egg Roll. Very YUM!!! Our waitress was very efficient and attentive. I guess we were the lucky ones. It seemed that the rest of the wait staff was a bit to immature to be on a dining room floor without a supervisor to be guiding them. The male waiter kept flirting with the younger blonde waitresses. A lot of chit chatting was going on behind us. The bus boy was rude and vulgar to the wait staff. But then again besides our waitress I think the oldest waiter/waitress was 19. But other than that, our meal was very good and we will be coming back again, hopefully we get the same waitress again

“A pleasent, tongue tingling evening!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2013

We were searching for a local restaurant for late dining after our long, hot day at Hershey Park. We drove by saw tiki torches and the glider outdoor seating!! So GLAD we gave it a try~Our waitress Morgan was AMAZING!! Her knowledge & descriptions of the menu made selecting a meal a challenge. The menu had so many fabulous choices!! We look forward to visiting the location again! Great for families!! Quantity of food for price, EXCELLENT.
