It really hurts to write this review as I would love to be able to say great things about the restaurant but no such luck. The food was just terrible! 1st was the lobster bisque. It tasted like a combination of heavy cream and flour. My husband and I agreed that if we had not known that it was Lobster bisque and had to guess what it was, we would not have come up with the right answer.... gravy? Mushroom soup? it was just nasty. We then chose several appetizers instead of a traditional meal. The signature scallops were tasty but were basically two small, not so fresh tasting, scallops that cost $14.00. Their version of ceviche was 4 very small slices of raw fish, not cured in citrus as it should be, just raw. Maybe it was a bad version of sushi. The smoked seafood platter.... yuk!! I kept having to pick fuss off of the shrimp but regardless of that the flavor was awful. We finally made it to dessert and thankfully the dessert was good. The service was poor but not for lack of trying, they appeared to have the intention of giving good service but somehow failed to even be able to keep our water glasses filled. Maybe our server was new??, A disappointing and very expensive dining experience.

If you can only choose one of the 3 restaurants on property this is the way to go. The food is tops and the service was excellent. The Rock shrimp app was a keeper and the filet was cooked perfectly.

I think we set our expectations too high, but for $200 I would think the food would have been better overall.
Went for a landmark birthday dinner, we were seated at a nice table with a large window view. The waiter was pleasant and informative. We had 2 signature cocktails that were excellent. Warm bread arrived with sea salted butter, 2 types of bread. We had the Cocoa dusted scallops (2) and Red Snapper Ceviche (4), both were excellent. The Lobster bisque and Onion soup, both arrived less than hot and were just ok. Salads were the Classic Caesar and Steak Salad, both excellent. Dinners arrived, then the glass of wine was poured, no time to breath and not a hefty pour by any stretch. We had the highly recommended 8oz filet, medium rare and done as ordered. The char taste was a but too much, the twice baked potato ala carte was less than flavorful. The rack of lamb was 2 pieces, one on the bone. Done medium rare, lots of fat surrounded the thick cut meat, again it was just ok. The pureed eggplant was awful, a burnt taste made it inedible. We skipped dessert with all the food, it would have been too much. Service was good, but the empty plates seemed to sit for quite awhile. The check was presented with a small boxed caramel with sea salt, a tribute to Milton Hershey and his original Lancaster caramel company.
Next time, it's an app, the $14 burger and dessert at the new bar in the center of the room.

On a recent stay at a nearby B & B, we elected to visit the iconic Hotel Hershey. The customer service at the property was first rate from the doorman to the gift shop clerk. Every employee greets you with a smile and an offer of assistance. They match Disney for their staff training. Even though we were not guests at the hotel we were offered a very nice table and our waiter (we actually had four staff attending to our table) was just great. Though getting crowded with hotel guests she always spent time as if we were the only people in the room. Her recommendations were spot on and the meal was well worth the above average prices. I've tried to duplicate the creamed spinach but I've gone through a lot of bourbon and brown sugar. Ending with a chocolate martini before the show was perfect. We cannot wait to return.
