Why did he give away his fortune? That's the Hershey story. Enjoy a 45-minute, hands on class in the Chocolate Lab and sample warm drinking chocolate from around the world at Tastings. “Great interactive exhibits!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2013

Although I go to Hershey several times a year, I never went to this museum before. During our time at the museum, we were able to interact with many of the exhibits including an interactive map that explains virtually everything that you want to know about Hershey. An eye-opening experience as to how philanthropic Milton S. Hershey was. We even made ourselves the subject of a newspaper article about Hershey. They also have activities that cater to scouting groups, so we will be taking our Girl Scout troop there in a couple of months. A must do when in Hershey!

“Great Museum Experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2013

Museum tells the story of Milton Hershey and Chocolates in much more informative way than the Chocolate World. The museum is relatively new, well designed and very informative - a great experience for adults and teens (but not so much for younger children). Interesting background on Hershey and his wife (they were scheduled to take the Titantic!), and how chocolate is made.

Exhibits were great - nice mix of reading, videos and objects. Only negative was that there needs to be more places to sit while touring the museum. A great way to spend an hour or two.
Excellent gift shop and cafe (Cafe Zooka). I didn't try the Chocolate Tasting Experience or the Chocolate Lab, but they looked like fun.

There is a parking garage behind the museum (a little difficult to find), but free. The "list" price for the museum may seem high; however, there are cupons for a discount everywhere. With the discount, this is a very goood value.

Excllent way to learn more about Hershey and chocolate! Highly recommend this.

“Educational and fun!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2013

We all had a great time learning about Hershey. My kids loved the interactive game where he designed the process of how a Hershey's Kiss was made. They also loved designing postcards, posters, newspapers and more and then emailing them to ourselves to save. They played with old fashioned toys while adults were able to read more about Hershey. Highly recommend.

This museum tells the remarkable story of Milton Hershey and his chocolate empire. It's very informative, and the exhibits are engaging. Highly recommended for those who want to dig a little deeper into the Hershey story beyond Chocolate World.

“Go...it's great!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 26, 2013

This is a very nice museum and educational center. We learned a lot about Milton Hershey and his story is a fascinating one. It is definitely a place that should be on your Hershey experience list of things to do. The kids loved it (4 & 9)...and so did us big kids.
