Owner description: Hershey starts here! How did Milton Hershey go from bankruptcy to brilliance, transforming chocolate from a luxury to an everyday treat? How did he invent a community? Why did he give away his fortune? That's the Hershey story. Enjoy a 45-minute, hands on class in the Chocolate Lab and sample warm drinking chocolate from around the world at Tastings. Grab a delicious treat from the Pantry Café and find a unique assortment of keepsakes and chocolate at Museum Shop.

Great spot to visit. Lots of things to see. Great for families. There were different things to see for every age.

“Nice museum”
Reviewed October 29, 2012

My husband and I went to the museum as a last minute decision and we were pleasantly surprised at this museum. We even got a couple of discounts (senior citizen for my hubby and AAA for me) which was nice. We decided to do both the self-guided tour of the museum and the Chocolate Lab where you get to make your own candy bar. The lady at the chocolate lab gave us a great overview of chocolate and where it comes from and how we get it. Then you get to mold your own candy bar and add a couple of spices if you wish. Milton Hershey was an amazing man as the museum gives you much information on this very unselfish man. He gave back to the Hershey community and made Hershey what it is today. If you love chocolate (as I do) you can't help but enjoy this museum!

“Enlightening”
Reviewed October 29, 2012

Learning about Milton Hershey was a great experience. My husband and I were more interested than the kids. Worth the $10 for us, maybe not so much for them.

“History of Hershey”
Reviewed October 28, 2012

The cost was $10 admission for adults. It was a self-guided tour that took my husband and myself 2.5 hours to complete the tour. Hershey was a very generous man. Interestingly enough, there was very little information re: his personal life.
