Owner description: Hershey starts here! How did Milton Hershey go from bankruptcy to brilliance, transforming chocolate from a luxury to an everyday treat? How did he invent a community? Why did he give away his fortune? That's the Hershey story. Enjoy a 45-minute, hands on class in the Chocolate Lab and sample warm drinking chocolate from around the world at Tastings. Grab a delicious treat from the Pantry Café and find a unique assortment of keepsakes and chocolate at Museum Shop.

“History of Hershey”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 28, 2012

The cost was $10 admission for adults. It was a self-guided tour that took my husband and myself 2.5 hours to complete the tour. Hershey was a very generous man. Interestingly enough, there was very little information re: his personal life.

The museum is beautiful, and very interesting. It is located downtown which was nice as it's a beautiful area.

“Beautiful museum”

This is a beautiful museum with a wonderful story about Mr. Hershey and his company and contributions to the people of Hershey. I have always loved the Hershey product and now appreciate the legacy left by this wonderful man!! We also made our own chocolate bar!!

“Very Interesting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2012

Got free tickets from the hotel, so this was a no brainer. Everything you wante to know about the life and times of Milton Hershey. The most interesting tidbit for me was that Milton Hershey was booked on the Titanic but due to business had to take an earlier trip. Just think of the world without Hershey chocolate!!!

“Don't miss the chocolate lab”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 5, 2012

We went to hershey story because we were given complimentary ticket from the hotel. My 8 year old daughter got the apprentice book and she enjoyed answering the activities in that book. We also bought the ticket to the chocolate lab. We were given the chance to design our own chocolate. It was fun!
