Owner description: Hershey starts here! How did Milton Hershey go from bankruptcy to brilliance, transforming chocolate from a luxury to an everyday treat? How did he invent a community? Why did he give away his fortune? That's the Hershey story. Enjoy a 45-minute, hands on class in the Chocolate Lab and sample warm drinking chocolate from around the world at Tastings. Grab a delicious treat from the Pantry Café and find a unique assortment of keepsakes and chocolate at Museum Shop.

Mr. Hershey was an incredible man, and this museum does an incredible job of conveying his life's story and legacy. It is worth your time and money!

“A lot to see”
Reviewed February 19, 2012

The clock is amazing. The museum does a very good job of putting all the information into a consumable package. It is hard to absorb in less than a few hours. We walked through once, but I think doing a second loop and seeing what you missed might be helpful. There is a lot to see, read, hear and experience.

“More mature kids would enjoy making the chocolate bar here.”
Reviewed February 6, 2012

Great leaning about chocolate and great fun making a chocolate bar. The museum is short and informative about Milton Hershey and the historical sweep regarding his life and the rise of Hershey. The lab attraction is great way to understand how chocolate is harvested, produced, and finally created. And you make a fresh bar! For grownups and all age kids who are mature to sit, listen, and follow direction.

“eh...”

Maybe enjoyable for the kids, but all the good that Hershey did for the community is a stark contrast to what the current owners are doing exporting jobs out of the country.
