OK if you have never been to Hershey before, but they are using the same cocoa bean movie that I saw as a kid in the '70s. The ride/tour is pretty similar too, other than the singing cows.

Kids loved the 4-D movie and Hershey Chocolate World tour! Soup in a bread was great..we expected good deals in Hershey chocolate prices, but surprised to note there is no difference in proce when compared to the local stores

Hershey's Chocolate World was better than expected. The tour ride is both fun and educational. The free samples were tasty, and the shopping selections available were not to be believed. There were chocolates available for purchase that are not available anywhere else but Hershey stores. Our children loved the overall experience.

Free tour to see how chocolates are made with a store selling chocolates galore. You can pay to take a trolley tour of the town, watch a movie or make your own chocolate. Worth a visit if you are in the area. Park is next door. Parking is free if you stay less than 3 hours. Otherwise starts at $12.

Took my family of four here because your sorta feel like you "have to" go here if you come to Hershey. Compared with the Hershey Story Museum downtown, I would go with the museum. First of all, Chocolate World gives you the "factory tour" for free, but everything else is way over-priced. To buy a ticket for access to everything would cost more than $30 per adult (over 12). The free "factory tour" is sort of a "It's a Small World, After All" ride, not a tour into a real factory. Small kids might like the ride aspect but all ages will learn more about chocolate-making at the museum downtown. We paid to do the 4D movie and this was a big let-down. The storyline is incredibly boring and the 4D effects are the same tired ones you always get and in several cases didn't really match what was going on in the movie. Definitely a "meh" experience. We didn't do the "Make your own candy bar" or "tasting" activities because they recommended that people with nut allergies not do those. We skipped the trolley ride because it sounded boring. We chose not to eat in the food court because the selection was limited (typical theme park food) and the prices high. Of course, half the square footage is devoted to shopping opportunities. Huge selection of t-shirts and the like. Was a little disappointed that they didn't have more "unique" chocolate items that you couldn't normally buy in your local grocery store. Overall, I would recommend that you go and enjoy the free ride and do some shopping if you like. Maybe the "make your own candy bar" thing too if the nut allergies aren't an issue for you. Otherwise, plan to go to the museum if you want to really learn anything about Hershey, the man or the company.
