“Nice diversion for young children”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 20, 2013

We decided to visit because our kids loved the book, "Curious George & the Chocolate Factory." Even though it's free, there is a charge for most of the exhibits & activities. The factory "tour" is more of an amusement park ride than tour - everything is simulated and animated. Luckily, our kids loved it and rode it twice. The food was decent. This is perfect for young kids or chocoholics.

“Free, chocolate and free chocolate”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 19, 2013

Hershey's Chocolate World, located next to Hershey Park is a nice diversion if you are in the Hershey area. To get into the building is free, and there are a number of things to do whenyou get inside. You can build your own dessert upstairs, either as a fondue, painting a cookie or a cupcake, or making your own candy bar downstairs.

There is a free ride which explains how the chocolate is made and what goes in to producing a bar of Hershey's. It's a little cheesy, but fun. At the end of the ride there is usually a sample of some sort for you to try.

From there it is down to the gift shop and food court. There are lots of desserts, and some entrees for you to buy and space to eat. There is Hershey's Ice Cream, and shakes to purchase as well. Of course all of the Hershey's brand chocolates, as well as their other products, like gum and breathmints are available as well. Here you will find a lot of brands and packaging you won't see other places.

Overall, it's a neat place to visit. If you have kids, which I do not, I am sure it can be a handful. In the summer I imagine it gets packed, but in the fall and winter, it's not too bad.

If you are in the area, and like Hershey's chocolate, check it out.

“Cool place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 19, 2013

They have a nice little ride that explains how they make all the different chocolates/candy bars and it's free. The kids will enjoy it along with seeing the Hershey mascot walking around. There is a nice food court along with a ice cream/milkshake area with the signature Hershey's ice cream used...it's really good. Lots of different merchandise and candy to buy along with some other things to do. Worth a stop for sure!

“Fun for all ages”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 18, 2013

Chocolate World is located just before you enter Hershey Park. There are lots of things to do there, some free some not. The iconic Hershey's Chocolate World ride is. It's a cute little ride that explains the chocolate making process Hershey uses to produce their product using singing cows, voice overs, and automated machinery. At the end, you are given a small sample of Hershey chocolate, which varies from visit to visit.

There are many other activities for the whole family - you can make your own chocolate bar, there is a 3-D movie, you can purchase cookies, a meal (pizza, sandwiches, hot meals, and soup), there's a coffee bar with desserts, and several areas to purchase merchandise - chocolate and clothing/mugs/stuffed animals/etc.

A fun place to go in winter to hang out at Hershey and a great place to cool down in the summer when at the park.
