Chocolate World is crowded and the amount of thing for purchase is dizzying; however, the ride is worth the trip. This is the closest you'll get to the touring the chocolate factory. If you went a while ago, go again; it's changed a little. The section leading to the ride makes it more informative than I remember, and the ride is no longer dark (A big plus if you go with a child who's afraid of the dark!). The sample at the end is always delicious; also, treat yourself to one of the delectible bakery items! Chocolate World offers a variety of activities, but all except the ride and the sample included, involve a fee.

Chocolate World is interactive marketing at its best. The (free) ride is all about how chocolate is made, with free samples given at the end. The movie is about chocolate, the trolley tour is about chocolate, etc. It is fun and educational, but be careful of all the add-ones when you book trolley tours. Either a trolley tour or a movie is fine, not both. Also, the stores are a bit more expensive than the average grocery store and most of the merchandise is average. I would have liked to see an international section of products, more Cadbury, and more hard-to-find candy. However, the mini cups of baked mac&cheese at $2.95 (in the food court) were a bargain.

Like that the ride through "the chocolate plant" is free! The 3D theater is so fun (look for $1 off each person coupon before coming). It is not only 3D, but water sprinkles, air blows, something brushes against your legs, etc. Small indoor "rain forest"? that has live cocoa plants growing. Some fun interactive displays. Food and shopping.

The name Chocolate World should be enough to entice anyone to come and visit.
Just go and enjoy it with the ones you love... lots, tons, loads of all kinds of chocolate you can think of to buy at the end of the ride. the ride is completely hokey but you learn and see how chocolate is made by the simulated ride. oh! and it's totally free- which is a super bonus!

Had a great time with the family while visiting Hershey's Chocolate World. The chocolate train factory was free of charge and the kids loved it! Everything else had a cost associated with it. Although, you could select packages to include what you wanted to see and do. The kids loved making their own candy bar. It was a lot of fun and we really enjoyed watching our candy bar as it was made. Candy bar, by the way, was delicious. Everything is pretty much inside which is great during both the hot summer and cold winter. There was a cute trolley ride tour of the area which the kids also enjoyed. We loved getting little chocolate gifts after each attraction too. Had lunch there which was also good. Will definitely return...
